(no subject)
I had an interesting weekend. Or, as Dave said, an adventure.
Friday
Woke up, ate a sandwhich, did laundry, packed, started on 3 hour ride home with Shannon, Michael, and Melanie. The ride was a lot of fun, full of catching up and singing along to Queen, Journey, and showtunes. (I'd like you to meet my girlfriend, my girlfriend who lives in Canada). And good laughs about the "warehouse" and the 45 minute bridge. When I got home Mom had made me dinner. yay! And we ate while watching a tape of Jon Stewart. Some things never change. Then we went over to my Aunt Janet's to visit. Jordan was actually wearing jeans, which was new and different. She looked taller. Jonathon's voice is starting to change. We played Farkle and watched TV. At 11 I met up with lots of people at Starbucks. I was so excited to see everyone! There was lots of hugging and high-pitched "I missed you!"s. Then Kim, Amelia, and I went to Schiffer's to dye her hair, which turned out more red than we expected, but looks nice. Kim and I had a good ten minute laugh about this mechanical toy beaver. We tried watching Hocus Pocus, but got distracted by the hair dye and potato skins.
Saturday
I had to get up early to watch Jordan play basketball. Her team lost, but she did a really good job. She scored a lot for the team and set up some pick and rolls. Then I ate lunch and talked with Zach, afterwhich Kim and I went to Starbucks to pick up my prize from Fins. He got me a Rocky Horror poster. I was floored, it was just so thoughtful of him. He also wrote me a very sweet note. Then Kim and I went underwear shopping at the mall and pined for the pretty clothes we couldn't afford. (someday!) I went to church with my Mom and drove straight from there to pick Kim back up for musical. I had such a great time catching up with everone. I snuck into one of the crew pictures, and helped make crew bags. lol. The musical itself wasn't bad. It wasn't amazing. Mostly everyone did well with their parts, I just feel that Into The Woods should end after the first half. Or be only the second half...it just feels like two different musicals to me. The best parts were Shaniqua's love babies and the giant blow up Frankenstein. How ridiculous. After musical a large group of us went to Friday's. It was just so nice to be with all these people I'm so comfortable with and just relax and have fun. Then Kim, Blakley, Shannon, and I went to Alissa's. Shannon only stayed for a bit. We went to Giant Eagle and got some ice cream to drown our emotional problems. (yay chocolate chip cookie dough). And I called Kevin but he couldn't come over. Dave came over. There was a moment in the woods. We watched Down With Love, which is a great movie.
Sunday
I slept in, took a shower, ate spaghetti for lunch, said goodbye to people at Starbucks, and began the three hour journey back to OU. We were more tired and less talkative, but it was still fun. Then I took a nap from 4-10pm. It was wonderful. And I haven't eaten dinner, so I'm going to go do that now.
