It just occurred to me from the recent meme and from recent threading that Bernkastel is going to have a certain mindset about the Plane and how she handles it.
If it's an 'experiment', then she views it as a collective environment where different species are contained at a time-- coming and going abilities aside. Therefore, she'll want to play. Bernkastel + Playing = not good in general for people involved. Feel the need to give whoever's observing the experiment exactly what they want by permitting her entrance into their kakera and all that.
However, Bernkastel's kind of a godmod. So she would want to level the playing field a bit and seek out detectives/PEOPLE WHO DONE GOOD AT THAT MYSTERY SOLVIN' THING/etc and do some experimenting herself-- by granting them the ability to use the Blue Truth.
The Blue Truth is A truth used for theorizing, basically. It's used to deny witches, though witches are prone to using it too. Basically, it's subjective truth, guesswork. And it can be used to strike back at Bernkastel. It can manifest as a weapon. From anywhere from simple lances that appear when you talk, to getting your own flintlock pistol, to your own sword. It all depends on how capable you become with it. It can also not weaponize, and just appear as words. It's all about intent, I guess. If you want to banter with Bernkastel, then it won't really weaponize. If you want to fight her, then hell yeah it will.
Bernkastel is capable of using it and the red truth, a truth that is purely objective. You can't lie when speaking this. She won't grant this to anyone-- because the blue is all they need if they're competent.
If you use the blue truth on Bernkastel, she absolutely has to reply. Otherwise, you've stopped her thinking.
Umineko mechanics are bizarre. But yes-- if anyone would like to get in a TRUTH FIGHT or MYSTERY FIGHT with Bernkastel, which is essentially a debate over what could or could not be with colored words, tell me here. We can plot to how Bern will grant them the Blue Truth and let the good times roll from there.
Here's an example of a poorly done, but acceptable truth fight:
"The killer hid under the bed when the bodies were discovered!"
"There was no one hiding in the room at the time of the discovery!"
"Then the killer escaped through the window."
"The killer did not escape through the window, or door. It also was not a suicide by both victims."
"THEN THIS IS ALL USELESS."
*insert laughing in red here. yes, you can laugh in red.*
Of course, the debate doesn't have to be over a mystery. It can be over things in general, right down to Bernkastel's existence. If you're feeling crazy and/or stupid like a fox. Bernkastel will generally describe this a lot better than me ICly.
Yes? No? Your canon is terribly confusing and I am lost? I am open for questions.
