Saintless in Seattle

In ironic news, I happened to be in a Catholic religious supply store when the Pope died. Curiosity kills the religious studies major. The name of the store was "Holy Family Religious Supply". So I was thinking, "Woohoo! Huge boxes of eucharist wafers!" And I got images of me floating through the sky on a giant wafer only to land on this awesome ocean wave of wine and surf to the shore! But alas, they pretty much only had rosaries, saint charms, and versions of the Bible that don't interest me. They did have Teresa of Avila books, but they were overpriced. I already have one Teresa book on my bookshelf! It's what I call my religious studies and math bookshelf. And library books too! (Watch out for huge pictures!)

And for the first time ever today, I saw a phonograph in person. Someone was selling it at the end of the road that goes through my village. It was oh so shiny and I was like "I should buy it!" But I didn't want to have to explain to my parents why the hell I bought a phonograph. I mean, who impulse buys a phonograph? Then I went to Petsmart and felt bad because I couldn't adopt an animal and have it neutered. There was one cat there whose cage label read "Name: T.C. (her owner recently died)". The poor cat looked awfully depressed. I still like to go there on Saturdays though because everybody brings their cute pets! Despite not being able to adopt a pet. ^_^

Tonight is Japanese Kitchen dinner with John. We shall enjoy a flaming mountain of onions and fancy knife tricks at the table! Go go doo doo dooooo!
