Waiting
It's 4am.
My Mother and Dad are on the way to the hospital. She is having severe pains in her side and is nauseous. I've been instructed to let Taylor sleep and inform her of what is going on when she gets up at 6. Of course...I can't sleep or focus on anything. My Mother and I had another big fight last night and that's what I keep thinking about.
This week has definitely been downhill. I am waiting for things to start looking up.
On Monday a woman ran a yield sign and hit my car. It was not a very pleasant experience. She got out of the car waving her hands and screaming like a Rikki Lake guest...accusing me of speeding etc. The police were called...but the officer didn't issue any tickets. So...I've been dealing with insurance companies all week. It looks like there is an issue of coverage with her policy. I was without a car for two days....and so now I am going through my own policy. Which means deductibles...maximum rental car allowance etc. It's been a big headache really. On a positive note... the cute rental clerk gave me a "free upgrade". He's charging me for a standard car..but I am driving a Nissan Xterra. My immediate thought was ROADTRIP...but Enterprise won't let you take the car out of state without additional fees and I really don't want to go over my rental car allowance. Still..it's a pretty green..and I like it! On an odd note...he asked me where I worked and said he'd be out to see me next week. *shrug* He's cute...but I thought that was a little strange!
I don't know what I am going to do this weekend. Keith had talked about coming up..but if my mother is in the hospital that may not be best.
I guess I'll try to read my novel until Taylor gets up. I hope Dad calls with an update soon.
