Facebook stole my life
But since my sis is now broadband happy and difficult to remove from her computer, I feel ashamed of not posting anything on LJ for so long. So I'm back, albeit briefly, to say a few things about my so-called sci fi life at present.
1. 'Lantis broke my heart
I'm not sure I can forgive tptb for being such assholes this time. But I'm willing to give the new season a chance and bitch about it online. And Torri had to cancel her appearance at the London Film and Comic Con, which made me sob a little. And Shep looks kinda chubby on the promo pics. And I still haven't bought my season 2 boxset. The faintly brightside to the Weir situation is all the fanfic that's going to crash t'internet. Am looking forward to this way more than the new season.
2. Heroes = goodness
It was so cool to breathe the same air as the awesome Petrelli family at the London Film and Comic Con! When they came out to start signing I couldn't stop myself from yelling "Woo hoo!" and then felt kind of stupid as no one else seemed as excited as me.
3. Eureka is back next week!
I can't make it to the London Expo to meet the lurvely Sheriff Carter, but I'm really excited that Eureka starts again. I'm hoping for great things this season.
4. Charlie Jade might be the start of something new and wonderful
Watched the free DVD from SFX and wasn't sure what I felt about this new series. It looks stunning and has an interesting sliders/bladerunner feel to it. And it doesn't hurt that the lead actor is kinda hot.
5. Is Rose coming back to Who?
Never believe what you read in the tabloids, but this would rock my world. Please please please let it be true, if only for a few episodes. Although, the rumour smacks of desperation from tptb trying to inject some fandom back into the show.
6. Fandom encounters
London Film and Comic Con was great, even though we were shrouded in darkness and Torri couldn't come. Andee Frizzell (not sure of the spelling!) was a hoot and a lovely lady. Me and my sis are starting a campaign to get her ovefr for P3. It was also fantastic to see H and C again (how many Supernatural pictures can two girlies buy?!), and to buy a 'vote petrelli' badge that is now a collectable. And we're going to meet Shanks at Collectormania MK!!! I really want to meet Robert Picardo, so may have to buy a photo op with him.....
