OMG David Tennant had me close to tears in the last 2 eps of new WHO. My love for him grows every week, even though I still miss the dynamic he had with Rose and I'm hoping that Martha gets lost somewhere never to return. I heard somewhere that Freema's contract hasn't been renewed for another series, but that could just be a load of rubbish.
I loved how different John Smith was to the Doctor. And I really wanted him and Joan to have their happily ever after. Seeing him in tears was heartbreaking, and seeing the Doctor be such a badass with the Family after he'd blown up their ship was quite disturbing. I mean, we know that he's a badass, but we very rarely see him so cold about what he has to do.
And Martha? Well, she managed not to annoy me too much this episode. Her whole unrequited love thing has been hampering my love of this season, but I liked how this was brought into the episode. She held her own and didn't act like the other woman, because she simply isn't. But I couldn't help wondering what it would have been like with Rose in her place. Martha and the Doctor just don't have any sort of spark. I still don't really understand why he asked her to step into the TARDIS, except for the fact that he's lonely.
Anyway, I'm holding out for a surprise return for Rose at the end of this series. We know that Capt Jack is back, so why not Rose too?
*fingers crossed*
Oh, and it's back to work tomorrow. I hate the fact that I'm limping - travelling at a quarter your natural speed is sooooooo frustrating.
