The wonderfull weekend that was
Ta Daaaaaa!!!!! A post it really is a poat. And it shall be a good one at that too.
So this weekend was Travis and Karen's wedding. It was awesome! But before I get into that I really haven't posted in a long time so I think I need to update starting from last weekend with a party I went to with my sister.
So we went to this party that was a combination of a graduation, house warming, and engagement party all rolled into one. My sister used to work with DR. Elmer and Kat. So she was invited to this and sinse I went with her last year to there other house warming party. BTW Dr. Elmer was the actual person to invent the Spring Bok shot. He invented it in a bar in Africa while he was there and it has spread by word of mouth and has even ennded up on webtender.com. Which is pretty damn amazing.
Anyways I drove since my sister still wasn't up tp driving a long way with her knee and all. And I said I would be DD anyways. It was fun, I knew some of the people there from the last party. I had one Smirnoff Twisted Orange, Three jello jiggler shots, and one Mike Hard Berry. It was really weird that one of the beer brewing guys who was old and ugle was hitting on my sister and was doing it in such a blatent and stupid corny way that I wanted to go barf in the corner. And my sister was clearly not interested in him and he wouldn't get it. It was yucky and blah. But yeah it was fun there all the same with good food.
So in between that weekend and this all I did was work and whatnot. Very boring, very bland.
Now for the fun stuff. I came up here on Thursday got here around 11:30ish and found out what books I needed for this coming semester. The I went to the lab and helped make a new card box for the wedding beause Missy left the other one at her place. Then it was time for some Warcraft funness I played with Big Rob, Little Rob, Evard, Missy, Chris, and John, although some played some games and others didn't. But I played like 2 1/2 games. Had to leave halfway through the last one and Taylor took over so I could get to Julie and Ricky's place on time.
I got to their place so that I could go to the rehersal dinner with them. Julie had asked Travis and his stipulation was that I hooked up with Trent (his best man). I went and it was interesting to see how a rehersal went and I had fun chatting with people at the dinner afterward. And after the dinner Julie and I went back with the guys to Travis' hotel to drink at the bar there.
The next morning I went with Julie to get her hair done, and her hair turned out beautiful. We also went to Clinique to get our makeup done. Mary-ann was there and she did mine, she had said she always loved doing my eyes because I let her do fun things. ^_^ But our makeup looked great! I drove Julie, Ricky, and Mike to the wedding. I did this because Ricky had wanted to drink a lot and then Julie seemed like she wanted to as well so I decided hey I really don't want or need to so I let them have all the fun and just let loose for the night.
The wedding went real well except for a few DJ problems and the little boys in the wedding taking apart the ring bearing pillow. The whole wedding party looked so beautiful and I got some good pictures taken because I sat right at the isle. I just hope they turn out ok. The reception was fun as well we had two and a half tables full of ACM/SVSU people it was great. They only thing was that since the photographer was late that they took a while to get all the photos done after the wedding and so in the reception area we were sitting around for a while smelling good food.
The food was allright and the dancing was better. Travis made me dance with Mike, that was a bit akward for the both of us. I ended having two Kenyan guys randomly come up and fast dacne with me. That was interesting to say the least. Danced a slow dance with Ricky and that was fun too. Did the dollar dance with Travis, and finally ended up dancing with Trent.
Trent had come up during a fast song and started dancing next to me in group or whatever and he had me and another girl hanging on him and the little kid there too it was fun. the the kid got tired and left and the other girl left and it was just me and him dancing and talking to like 2 or 3 fast songs and then like some slow songs started and he was walking away so I thought "What the hell!" and asked him to slow dance with me and we slow danced for the two songs and talked some more and that was nice. (Even if near the end of the evening) (Hey I tend to work slow! ^_^) But the more fast songs started up and we parted ways or whatever.
Ended up having Kris talk to me and saying I should get back with JOhn cause he liked JOhn and all this and I was like if it happens it happens. But I just didn't have that spark there anymore. And then he siad something about taking risks and Amy asked Kris about what he knew about taking risks. But then the reception was over and I worked up yet another burst of courage and asked Trent for his AIM name. So yeah I guess you can say I fullfilled Travis stipulation with sorta hooking up with Trent.
But he does seem like a great guy and cute too so eh we'll see. OKay I am tired of typing now so I shall call it quits. Tas all.
