Title: Chapel by the beach [Drabble]
Pairing: 2min
Genre: Romance
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Taemin and Minho’s little story.
Note: I was listening to “A Child In The Island House” by Shinee ((: It’s such a sweet lullaby <3
The setting sun’s ray lit up the sky above the western horizon. I closed my eyes for a few seconds to feel the sea breeze ruffling between my locks and to hear the sound of the gentle waves. Opening my eyes slowly to look at the cold silver titanium that wrapped around my left ring finger, I pressed it against my lips and repeated his name under my breath.
“Choi Minho.”
We claimed this part of the beach as ours since 10 years ago-or maybe not only the beach, but the tiny chapel just a few meters away from shore too. Minho and I squatted beside each other and buried our hands in the soft golden sand.
“Taemin ah.” Even Minho Hyung’s voice was slightly lower than the others around our age.
“Yes, Minho Hyung?” I replied cheerfully and watched as Minho reached his hand into his pocket.
“I have something to give you, Taemin. Give me your hand.” Putting my right hand out in front of us, I looked down at the thing that Minho released from his clutch. “This is a ring I made by myself with that seashell you gave me. Do you like it?”
“Thanks Minho Hyung!” Holding it between my fingers, I looked at Minho Hyung again and asked him, “Which finger should I put this on? I have too many and I can’t choose.”
Taking the ring away from me, Minho Hyung put it on my left ring finger and slivered his lips gently, “Appa and Umma have the same ring on the same fingers too.”
“My Appa and Umma too!” I pointed towards the white chapel just behind us, “Appa and Umma married in this chapel before I was born.”
“Shall we get married in this chapel when we grow up, Taemin?”
“I will like to marry Hyung! But….” I pondered for a moment and pouted, “Umma told me that only a boy and girl can get married. Hyung and I are boys.”
“Really? But my Umma told me that you can marry the person you like.”
“I like Minho Hyung! So… I can marry you, right?” Minho Hyung nodded his head and grinned at me.
It’s a promise.

We could still hear the sound of the waves inside the tiny white building. Minho stood by me and held both of my hands tightly in his.
“I, Choi Minho, take thee, Lee Taemin, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I plight thee my troth.”
“I, Lee Taemin, take thee, Choi Minho, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love, cherish, and to obey, till death us do part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I give thee my troth.”
It was a silver titanium ring-he put it on my left ring finger and leaned forward to press his lips against mine. Burying my face into his chest, I could hear his heartbeat distinctively beside my ear,
Thump…thump….thump….
To love and to cherish
Till death us do part
“Choi Minho…” I tilted my head to look at the young boy who sat on the sand beside me, “That’s Appa’s name, YooGeun”
“Do you call Appa as ‘Choi Minho’?” I shook my head and wrapped my arms around the tiny frame.
“No. I call him ‘Minho Hyung.’” Yoogeun was a child Minho and I found in an orphanage four years ago-he was the most beautiful boy we had ever seen. There was a period of time where I wanted to bring that boy back to the orphanage-partly because I could not afford to feed another mouth, but mainly because Yoogeun reminded me too much about Minho.
His eyes were as huge and dreamy as Minho’s.
“Minho Appa and I met here on this beach when we were your age.”
“Can Appa see us now?” Yoogeun asked me as he shifted himself closer to my chest.
“Yes, of course, Yoogeun.” I pointed towards the sky and pecked him on his cheeks, “His looking at us right now.”
“I miss Appa so much.”
“I miss him too, Yoogeun.”
A/N: Yes…good night!
