Konbanwa, minnasan, I hope everyone out there in Cyberland is doing well. I'm working on setting up the outline for the next chapter of "AAO," especially how the YeTeuk is going to reappear. So it's taking me a little while since this storyline is much more complex then "Impasse" was! ::chuckles::
In the mean time, I'm working on my requests. I'm about half done with the SiWook Smuff fic and I finished this little ficlet I wrote for
music_loner since she's alway so kind to my work. It's short, but oddly enough, I absolutely adore this. I recommend everyone takes a chance to listen to Robbie William's "Angels" after reading this, ne? Enjoy!

*****
They watched them fall.
Drifting like delicate petals of a snowy white rose. Each one whispered through the night wind, catching the little drafts and riding them like shifting waves.
Each one so iridescent it was almost blinding to gaze at them.
Donghae reached out and caught one of the delicate objects in the palm of his hand. It distantly reminded him of silk, but even that was too rough a texture compared to this precious treasure. He touched each smooth bristle with his fingertips. A smile lit up his face as warmth seemed to tickle his digits.
Hankyung smiled next to Donghae. He caught another one between his fingers and brought it up, brushing it over Donghae's nose. His friend laughed warmly and clapped his hands in delight. The Chinese man rolled the gift through both of his hands before tucking it behind his ear.
The two watched contently as the third member of their party stood silent and elegant, gazing outwards over the night sky. His hair caught the breeze lightly, framing his face with gentle grace.
A sudden gust of wind descended upon them. Donghae and Hankyung watched breathless as the air danced through their friend's beautiful extensions. A few pieces of white drifted from them and sparkled like diamonds as they tumbled downwards. Some settled on the grass, others made their ways into the trees. Wherever they fell, it was like sunshine had settled on that one spot.
"Amazing." Donghae whispered.
"It is." Hankyung said in agreement.
The two men knew tonight was very special indeed. Only once a year did their companion get to share his gift. Even then, he had been hesitant to show anyone. But their friend knew he could trust Hankyung and Donghae with his very life.
Another small white dropped and landing on Donghae's head. He couldn't wipe the girn off his face as Hankyung carefully tucked the object behind Donghae's left ear. He smiled affectionately at his long time friend.
The duo looked up as their third came over, kneeling down quietly. He tilted his head, an amused look gracing his features.
"You both look like you've got mini wings growing out of your ears."
"Well, we don't have them, so we have to compensate!" Donghae said brightly.
"Donghae's right, Eeteuk."
The evening breeze played through the trees, the soft whistle fluttering through Eeteuk's large white wings. He flexed them smoothly a few times before folding them around, encircling Donghae and Hankyung. The two men closed their eyes, savoring the sensation of light, heat and unconditional love.
"Thank you. For letting me share my secret with you." Eeteuk softly said.
The two men nodded, their mutual hands taking Eeteuk's. Their friendship was true, their love pure, and once a year, the three of them enjoyed watching the feathers fall.
THE END.
