Thank You's, All Hallow's Eve and a Mini Top Hat
My goodness, that's a random entry title, isn't it? First of all, thank you so much to everyone for those kind get well wishes. My shift manager did let me get off early on Monday because he didn't want me sick at the workplace. (Thank heavens!) I'm still not up to par, but I am doing better than I have been.
I'll be very busy on All Hallow's Eve this year. I get off at work by 1 p.m. and then have to motor home and get the cupcakes decorated for the chuch party. My mum will be home early so I can crawl into the back of her van and decorate it. My church hosts a "Trunk or Treat" each year for the kids. Basically it's trick-or-treating, but instead of houses, they go to each person's trunk of their car/van/truck parked in our parking lot. This year, I'm decorating the van inside to look like a minature pirate graveyard, complete with tombstones, a skeleton holding a candy bowl, eerie glowing lights, a pumpkin with the Black Pearl carved into it and of course, the "PotC" ride music playing. It should be alot of fun!
For my costume this year, I'm doing a very light EGL outfit since I'm also in charge of face painting. I found this really cute pattern designed by "MA" from the Gothic and Lolita Autumn 2008 Bible. I took a couple pics, so I hope everyone enjoys taking a look at the little tophat I made. It's pretty cute I think!

There's a couple flaws in it due to my choice in fabric, so I'll be remaking it in the future.

Genki no Cosplay is hosting a Cosplay Event on Sunday, November 9th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Rapid City Local Library. Everyone is welcome and cosplay is encouraged but not necessary. This event is free, so please join us for a fun time. There will be five categories, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Japanese Street Fashion and the actual Cosplay portion. There will be prizes awarded and at the end of the event, GnC will be making a big announcement. We hope to see you there!
