Konbanwa, minnasan! I hope everyone in Cyberland is doing well. I just got back from work, which wasn't a bad day, but I still get very tired from my job. My strength in my back and knee is returning, so that makes me very, very happy! =^^=
Cosplay news, I finally got my traditional Korean Male Ceremonial vest completed. It's really gorgeous and matches my shirt beautifully. Tomorrow I'm going to strive to make the pants so that I can start practicing with Bunny in our traditional clothes. I'll have some progress pics up very soon!
Saw the new "Speed Racer" movie. I really enjoyed it, not just because Rain was in it, but because it was just a really good movie. Lots of fun with a surprisingly heart felt message. Some times we just need movies like that, ne?
The little fic I wrote is basically just a crack! idea I had after watching "The King and the Clown." I've been toying around with the fic for almost a week while I set down the layout for the next chapter of "Impasse." I hope this tides everyone over for the time being. I left it with a hanging ending because I actually might write a sequel or two. I hope everyone enjoys!

SUMMARY: Wherein Donghae has a cold, forgets to tell his babysitters some vital information and random miscommunication occurs.
*****
Donghae sniffled and wiped his nose for what felt like the millionth time. It was one of Super Junior M's visits back to Korea. He had been so excited to come home and the moment the plane landed, he had started to get a cough. One day later he was confined to his bed by a very concerned Eeteuk. He felt achy and his throat burned whenever he tried to drink the tea Hankyung brought him. The cold medicine was doing some good but he still felt miserable. Worst of all, he felt bored. Eeteuk had instructed everyone to stay quiet and away from his room so he could get some rest. The television programs were reruns and he had pretty much read all of the magazines Siwon had kindly brought for him. He sighed softly and picked at the edge of his blanket.
The cell phone rang softly and Donghae answered it. His face lit up immediately when he heard the voice on the other end.
"No, I'm sick today." Donghae responded to the question on the other end. "Teukie-Umma won't let me go anywhere."
There was a quiet response on the other end.
"I guess you could do that. I'm back at the dorms right now. Do you know the way?"
Another soft response greeted Donghae's ears.
"That would be great! I won't be able to answer the door, but I think Kangin will. See you in about an hour? Okay, bye!"
Donghae hung up the phone. He smiled happily thinking that in least he would have someone to keep him company for a little while.
*****
A little over an hour later a young man traversed up the steps of one of the two dorms. He was carrying a medium sized bowl with a lid on it inside a basket. The basket also contained some fresh citrus fruit, a box of cookies and a DVD. The young man knocked lightly on the door and waited for an answer.
Kangin rolled his eyes as he heard the thumping across the room.
"I swear, Donghae gets sick and the world revolves around him." Kangin grumbled.
He got up from the couch and shuffled over. Without looking up from the crossword he had been scribbling on, he opened the door.
"Thank you for the gift, I'm sure Donghae will appreciate it." Kangin said automatically.
"Oh, I was hoping that I could see him." the man spoke sweetly.
The voice immediately caught Kangin's attention and he looked up. The young man had shaggy cut hair, bangs hanging delicately over one eye. The longer part of his hair was brought up in a high ponytail and fell gracefully over his slender neck. He was wearing a clingy white t-shirt and a pair of slim fitting jeans. His elegant eyes looked at Kangin amused as the man stood there staring at him slack jawed.
Before the young man could say anything, Kangin simply closed the door on him, leaving him confused on the door step.
"Kangin, who was that?" Eeteuk asked from the kitchen bar.
The larger man opened his mouth, closed it, then opened it again. Eeteuk raised an eyebrow. He was never great at charades and Kangin was lousy at the game.
"Okay, let's see. Is it a person, animal or vegetable?" he asked with a grin.
Kangin shook his head and then pointed at the door three times. He finally managed to gasp out the two words he was trying to say.
"Lee... Junki..."
"What?"
"Lee... Junki..."
"And what about him?" Eeteuk was getting mildly annoyed by Kangin's inability to communicate.
"Lee... Junki..."
"YES, I GOT THAT!" Eeteuk exclaimed.
"Is standing at our doorway..." Kangin finally spit out.
The oldest member raised an eyebrow and then shook his head laughing.
"You're so weird, Kangin."
"I'm serious!"
There was another knock on the door and Kangin turned to look at the frame.
"Well, open it up!" Eeteuk smirked. "Really, saying that there's..."
His words were interrupted as Kangin opened up the door and Junki stepped in. The slender youth smiled warmly at Kangin and then at Eeteuk.
"I'm sorry, is this a bad time?"
The doughnut Eeteuk was intending on eating fell right from his fingers. Junki just glanced around and then fiddled a little as the two men gazed at him very hard.
"Um, I came to see Donghae. He said for me to come up to his room."
"Third door on the left, up top." Eeteuk somehow managed to get out.
Junki nodded and walked through the living room. He paused at the stairs and then smiled at Eeteuk and Kangin again.
"I promise I won't be too long. I know he's supposed to have limited visitors."
With that, the young actor ascended the steps. Eeteuk and Kangin stood there, mutual mouth's open. At that moment, Yesung came strolling in with Ryeowook following behind him. Yesung was sipping his coffee and then looked at the stairs that the two other members were gazing up. He could make out a young man bending over, apparently tying his shoes. After a brief moment, the young man stood up and waved. Yesung's eyes went wide and the coffee cup fell right out of his hand.
"Lee... Junki..." Yesung whispered.
"Yes, we've already covered that." Eeteuk stated.
"Why is Lee Junki in our dorms?" Yesung questioned, his hand still in the position as if his coffee cup was present.
"To see Donghae."
Ryeowook started to giggle at that. The trio turned to him with mutual raised eyebrows.
"I'm sorry." the younger member said. "It just seems like such a Donghae thing to forget to tell us he knows Lee Junki."
Eeteuk, Kangin and Yesung all looked at the other young man increduously.
"What?" Ryeowook blinked.
*****
Junki counted down three doors to the left and stopped. He was ready to knock when he heard a voice from down the hall.
"I'm sorry, Donghae's not feeling well. He's not supposed to really have any visitors."
Junki turned to the voice and gave a bright smile. Sungmin was peering out the doorway with Kyuhyun. It took everything in Sungmin's power not to let out an ear piercing scream. Junki just waved slightly and then proceeded to knock on the door. He heard a loud sneeze and took it as his cue to go inside. He opened the door and slipped in.
"Lee... Junki..." Sungmin fanned himself. Kyuhyun couldn't help but roll his eyes, secretly feeling just a little jealous.
Donghae was blowing his nose in a tissue when Junki stepped into the room. He grinned at the SuJu member and closed the door behind him. Donghae did his best to smile even though he coughed in the process.
"How are you feeling, hyung?" Junki asked gently.
"I've felt better. My nose is still all stuffy and it feels like I'm swallowing sand paper." Donghae confessed.
"I made you some soup, I hope it's good. I also brought you some snacks and a DVD to watch."
"Is it one of your movies?" Donghae questioned.
Junki shook his head.
"It's actually 'Alien vs. Predator.'"
Donghae grinned at that as Junki came over and sat down on the side of his bed. The young man took out the bowl, pulling off the lid and placing it on Donghae's lap. Little twirls of steam lifted from the bowl and the tantalizing smell of chicken and spice wafted up into his nose. He could feel the stuffiness start to relent in his head already.
"How long can you stay?"
"As long as you'd like me too. I'm a bit concerned about your bandmates though. They seemed very surprised to see me here."
Donghae shrugged at that, not even thinking that he had forgot to tell them he knew Junki. The young actor stood, crossed the room and turned on Donghae's television. He fiddled a little with the DVD player before getting the movie to play. He then returned to Donghae's side. He was already eating the soup, enjoying the rather subtle flavor after having eaten so much Chinese food. He patted the spot next to him and Junki crawled onto the bed, making himself comfortable. Donghae finished off the soup in a couple more big gulps, the heat soothing the ache in his throat.
"Aren't you scared of catching my cold, Junnieah?" Donghae questioned.
The smaller, young man shook his head.
"When I was in Japan, I learned about an old proverb. It goes in the line of if you give your cold to someone who adores you, it will go away much quicker." he said with a smile.
Junki took the bowl carefully and set it in the basket. Donghae pulled the blanket up around both of them. They slid down then and snuggled into the covers. Junki tucked his chin underneath Donghae's, the two watching the movie quietly.
*****
"Now wait, repeat that." Eunhyuk said, still looking at the other people in the kitchen oddly.
"Lee Junki is upstairs in Donghae's bedroom!" Sungmin squealed.
"As in THE Lee Junki."
"Yes! How many times do we have to go over this!" Kangin stated.
Ryeowook just continued to laugh to himself. He really thought everyone was overreacting. It wasn't like they didn't know famous people. He inwardly thought Kangin should be used to it by now. He got the honor of working with Lee Hyori on their new television reality show. However, Hyori wasn't Junki when Ryeowook thought about it.
"How come Donghae has never said anything before?" Eunhyuk questioned.
"Maybe they're secretly seeing each other." Yesung piped up over his new cup of coffee.
"Like a hidden romance?" Sungmin asked, obviously excited by the idea.
"Or they could just be friends." Kuyhyun stated.
"I'm sorry, I don't think Lee Junki would just travel across town to see 'a friend,' he's too cool for that." Sungmin returned.
Eeteuk just shook his head at everyone.
"Look, the only way we'll know is if we ask Donghae. But I'm pretty sure that he wants to spend time privately with his visitor, so we'll have to wait until he leaves."
"What if he stays the night?" Sungmin pointed out.
The others blinked at that and then there was a little nervous coughing. Hankyung strolled into the kitchen to grab a bottle of water, pausing to look at the group. He could tell that gears were turning in all of their heads.
"Did I miss something?" the Chinese man inquired.
"Lee Junki."
"Uh-huh. What about him?"
"Is up in the Donghae's bedroom."
Hankyung just looked at everyone and laughed softly.
"Is that all? Here I thought you were going to tell me something important."
With that, the lanky man turned on his heels and headed out of the room, off to track Siwon down. Once again everyone had their mouths hanging open.
"Wait! So Hannieah knows about this?" Sungmin burst out. "Come on, Kyuhyun, let's ask him!"
Before the taller, younger member could object, Sungmin was hauling him out of the room and chasing after Hankyung. Eeteuk started to laugh out loud. Kangin just shook his head. Yesung rolled his eyes and Ryeowook just continued to giggle.
"Still, what happens if he does stay the night?" Eunhyuk blurt out.
*****
Donghae didn't know when he had drifted off to sleep, but awoke to find the television was still on. The DVD had started over again and was in the middle of a very action packed sequence. He really didn't pay much attention, instead he nuzzled the top of the young man's head beside him.
Junki smirked and pulled back enough to look up at his older friend.
"You were really stuffed up, I thought I was going to have to wake you."
"How long have I been asleep?"
"About an hour. I just let the DVD play over again. It's a so-so movie, but I like that Lance Henrickson, he's got a really cool voice."
Donghae chuckled softly at that.
"I only watch it for the special effects."
"Are you feeling any better?" Junki asked gently.
Donghae nodded.
"Thanks for coming over and seeing me. I was getting really lonely and bored."
Junki grinned.
"I hope I won't inconvenience the rest of your house mates with my visit."
"They're around famous people all the time. It's probably no big deal to them."
"True." Junki snuggled closer to Donghae, the two becoming more tangled in the blanket.
"You want to stay the night? My bed is big enough if you don't mind sleeping with a sick guy."
"I don't have anywhere to go until tomorrow morning. I'll just call my manager and let him know."
Junki reached for his cell phone he had placed on the nightstand. He made a couple calls, speaking softly to his manager and a friend of his. After some arrangements were made, he clicked the phone shut.
"As long as I leave around nine a.m. tomorrow, I can stay."
"Yay!" Donghae said happily. "What can we do in bed for the time being?"
"Why don't we just lay back and see what we can come up with?"
*****
"What did you hear? What did you hear?!" Eeteuk demanded.
Kangin was shaking his hand at the oldest member to hush him. He had a glass pressed to the door, his ear pressed to the base. The words were still muffled, but he could definitely hear the last part of the conversation.
"Yay! What can we do in bed for the time being?"
"Why don't we just lay back and see what we can come up with?"
Kangin actually felt a blush burn across his nose before he pulled back with the glass and turned to a waiting Eeteuk and Eunhyuk.
"Well?!" the two men demanded at the same time.
"Donghae just asked Junki what he wants to do in bed, and Junki told he they should just lay back and see what they come up with."
"I am so damn jealous now." Eunhyuk grumbled.
Eeteuk shook his head.
"I'm sure it's not what it sounded like."
"Donghae!!"
The three men quickly turned to the sound of Junki's voice. Kangin put the glass rapidly against the door, listening in on the two's conversation. Eeteuk and Eunhyuk were plastered against Kangin's back.
"What?! What?!" they both demanded again.
"Donghae! If you keep doing that, I swear I'm going to faint!"
*****
"Donghae!!"
Donghae made a funny face again, causing Junki to curl up in a ball, gasping for air from laughing too hard. The singer proceeded to cross his eyes and then try and touch the tip of his nose with his tongue. Junki desperately tried to catch his breath.
"Donghae! If you keep doing that, I swear I'm going to faint!"
Both men continued to laugh, occassionally having it interrupted by Donghae coughing. After a few more moments, they both caught their breath.
"Now that my stomach hurts from that, what would you like to do?"
Donghae thought for a moment and then grinned. He leaned over the side of the bed and fished out a small box. Junki watched with interest as his friend proceeded to pull over the little nightstand and empty the contents of the box onto the stand. Carefully, he stacked up the series of wooden blocks to form a very tall rectangle. Junki clapped his hands a couple times as Donghae proceeded to pull out one of the blocks. The tower moved barely. The brunette gestured for his longer haired friend to do the same process.
*****
"So it will get hard?" came Junki's voice from the other side of the door.
Kangin now had Eeteuk plastered to his back, followed by Eunhyuk with Yesung sitting crosslegged on the floor along with Ryeowook just shaking his head a couple times.
"What are they saying?" everyone demanded.
"SHUSH!" Kangin snapped.
"The more you pull on it, the harder it'll get." Donghae replied.
"You know this is my first time I've ever done this?"
"Really, I figured a guy like you would have at least tried it."
"Well, I did something similiar with a girl once, but this is my first time with a boy." Junki said cheerfully.
"Are you scared?"
"Nervous. What happens if I pull too hard?"
"Well, it'll come undone, and then we'll have a mess to clean up. But some times that's the most fun!" Donghae responded brightly.
"It'll get all over us then?"
"Sure, on the bed and floor too, but it'll take no time to get it back up and then we can do it again."
Kangin pulled away from the door. He rubbed the obvious red on his cheeks and the coughed as quietly as he could. Everyone crowded in on him immediately.
"Well?!" Eunhyuk rapidly questioned.
"It's apparently Junki's first time. He was concerned about the mess he was going to make if he pulled too hard. Donghae assured him that cleaning up is some times the most fun."
"Oh dear." Eeteuk said softly, looking very embarassed.
Yesung and Ryeowook started to snicker. Eunhyuk shook his head and crossed his arms.
"That's totally not fair."
Sungmin and Kyuhyun appeared down the hallway. The older member proceeded to tip toe toward the group, but Kyuhyun just followed behind, looking mildly exasperated.
"So, what's going on?"
"It's Junki's first time with a guy!" Eunhyuk exclaimed.
"Told you they were seeing each other." Yesung said simply.
"I am SO jealous!" Sungmin whined as he plopped down in the hallway. "Kyunnieah and I found Hankyung, but he wouldn't tell us anything. He just smiled at both of us and then went to have dinner with Siwon."
"Oh, oh, oh!!!"
The sound of Junki's voice caught everyone's attention. The exclamation could be heard even without Kangin's trusty glass.
"What the heck?" the bulkier man asked.
"It's coming, it's coming! Oh man!" Donghae gasped.
"Oh! Oh, what a mess! That was too much fun!!" Junki sighed.
*****
"Oh, oh, oh!!!"
Junki watched as the Jenga blocks started to rock back and forth. The last peg he pulled was making the puzzle swerve side to side. Before he could stop it, the bottom wooden piece started to give way.
"It's coming, it's coming! Oh man!" Donghae gasped.
The puzzle pieces fell down, scattering over the bed and onto the floor. Junki and Donghae both giggled as the last couple sections tumbled down onto the blanket.
"Oh! Oh, what a mess! That was too much fun!!" Junki sighed.
Donghae beamed and chuckled softly. The two men proceeded to pick up the pieces, Donghae gathering the parts that fell on the bed and Junki picking up the ones that had scattered on the floor.
"I haven't played that in ages." Donghae smirked. "The only one who used to play with me was Hankyung, and he hasn't had much time to do it lately."
Junki nodded as he put the rest of the pieces into the box. Donghae sealed up the game and then set it off to the side. Junki flopped back and then grinned.
"You're too fun, Donghae. I wish we could see each other more."
"Me too."
Junki scanned the room and saw one of Donghae's hooded sweatshirts lying across the chair. His face lit up as he scurried off the bed and picked up the piece of clothing. It was bright red with worn pockets and a hood that had been well used.
"You should put it on." Donghae said.
"Is it okay?"
"Sure, I know you've always liked that sweatshirt."
"It's a little big." Junki mentioned.
"It'll fit, I swear."
*****
"It's a little big." Junki mentioned.
"It'll fit, I swear."
"It's really, really warm."
"It's tight in all the right places."
"It smells like you."
"I hope so. I'm usually the only one touching it. I think everyone thinks it's dirty."
"I think it's silky." Junki replied.
Eeteuk had changed places with Kangin and was listening in on the conversation. He cursed inwardly at how mumbled the words were, but he definitely had made out that specific part. He cleared his throat and turned to look at everyone. Using his best "Umma Power," he finally spoke.
"I think we're going to leave them alone for the rest of the evening and night."
"BUT!!" everyone came in on chorus.
"No, we've already invaded too much of Donghae's privacy. Whatever intimate act, no matter how hot, how sweaty, how mind blowing..."
"Teukie, you're getting carried away again." Kangin interrupted.
"Oh, sorry, yes!" Eeteuk cleared his throat. "What I'm saying is we'll leave the two alone for the rest of the evening. Tomorrow if Donghae wants to talk about it, he'll tell us."
There was a mutual groan from the rest of the members. Eeteuk stood gesturing for everyone else to do the same. There were some sounds of irritation, but the oldest quickly squashed any more complaints.
"Tomorrow." he stated.
Eeteuk shooed Sungmin and Kyuhyun back to Sungmin's room. Ryeowook had already headed down the stairs. Yesung only remained a few seconds more before shrugging and heading after his younger friend. Eunhyuk just sighed and headed down the hall to his room. Kangin was still on the floor. Eeteuk raised an eyebrow at the younger man.
"Kangin."
"But, but, no one would know."
"KANGIN!"
The man was quickly to his feet. Eeteuk took Kangin's hand and forcefully drug him away from Donghae's door.
"But just a little longer, Teukie..."
"KANGIN!"
"Okay, okay!"
*****
Junki snuggled right down beside Donghae in Donghae's sweatshirt. The two were facing each other, both smiling. Donghae yawned slightly and reached out, his fingers wrapping up in some of Junki's longer hair.
"You should get some rest." Junki said softly.
"I know. I'm just really happy you came to take care of him."
"That's what friends do."
Donghae nodded and pulled Junki against him. Their noses touched briefly before Donghae turned his head slightly. The two shared the briefest of kisses goodnight before they relaxed, falling into a peaceful sleep.
*****
No one else who had been outside Donghae's door slept the rest of the night. When morning came, the living room was full of irritable members. Hankyung was working silently in the kitchen, praying inwardly that this was a phase they were all going through.
The sound of footsteps at the top of the stairs caught everyone's attention. Eeteuk, Kangin, Yesung, Ryeowook, Eunhyuk, Sungmin and Kyuhyun all stared from their various spots in the main room. Donghae blinked as he saw all the attention seemed to be aimed at him.
"Um, good morning?" he asked, his voice still a little hoarse, but not as bad as it was.
No one said anything in response. Donghae looked around and then back at his fellow group members. He felt Junki come up behind him. The younger man was wearing Donghae's red sweatshirt, his arms draped around his friend's neck.
"Is something wrong?" Junki whispered in his ear.
"I think they might have caught my cold. I bet they haven't slept." Donghae said softly back.
"Oh."
The two men made their way down the steps. Junki was carrying the basket he had brought with him. The multiple sets of eyes just watched the duo as Donghae escorted Junki to the door.
"This is awkward." Junki said very quietly.
"Yah, I'm sorry about that. I guess they're really, really not feeling well."
Junki barely waved at everyone sitting and looking at him.
"Um, thank you for letting me stay and visit. I hope you have a good day."
The group made a mutual barely there nod.
"Creepy." Donghae said under his breath.
"Thank you for the lovely time, Donghae. I hope we'll get to do it again soon."
The other members watched as the two men exchanged a kiss on their cheeks. Junki then turned and headed outside. Donghae waved goodbye and turned to see everyone had converged on him very quickly in a very short period of time.
"Um... Hi?"
Before any questions could be fired off, Hankyung came in carrying a tray of coffee cups and some simple bowls of rice. He started to cough and his nose felt stuffed up. Donghae suddenly lit up, pushing past everyone, their mouths full of unasked questions.
"Hannieah!"
"Yes, Donghae?" the man asked, sniffling.
"It's true what Junki said!"
"What's that?"
"He said my cold would go away faster if someone who adored me caught it."
Hankyung chuckled softly and then sneezed. Donghae threw his arms around the taller man's waist, content to stay there. Kangin opened his mouth to say something, but had his lips silenced by Eeteuk's hand.
"Some times, it's just better not to ask."
Junki walked down the stairs to car waiting for him. His throat hurt and he felt like his head was throbbing. The actor decided though, he couldn't have caught a better cold. Distantly, he wondered if Hankyung was sneezing at the moment. After all, Hankyung adored Donghae just as much as he did.
THE END?
