Mad Hatter's Tea Party and BHAFAS Reminder...
Konnichiwa, minnasan, I hope everyone out there in Cyberland is doing well! It's already been a very, very busy morning for me and I haven't even had the chance to head to work yet! ::laughs:: Ah well, I'm looking forward to tonight any ways!
My church is hosting a "Mad Hatter's Tea Party" for the older and elderly women of my church. They get to come, have tea and play games, decorate hats and answer "Alice in Wonderland" trivia as well as play Disney trivia. They even get to win prizes! I'm the "White Rabbit" for the occassion. I got to make the posters that are hung up around the room. Mum encouraged me to use a Gothic Lolita flare to them so I did them in that style. I also finished today making 32 chocolate tea cups. Yiss, they are actual chocolate tea cups, with a melted chocolate base and a chocolate dipped pretzel half for a handle. We're filling them with fresh fruit. I'll take pictures of our "Mad Hatter Garden" and the attendants, ne?
Oh, and I'm happy to say I paid for my theatrical lenses this morning! They should be arriving in about a week to ten days. I'm really excited to see how they look! Mum picked them out and Pop thought they were pretty cool. I love my 'rents they are so nuts! XD
BHAFAS REMINDER: KURO AND SHIRO LOLITA MEETING
To my BHAFAS members who read my LJ. We will be meeting at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 26th, at Borders. There will be a short meeting on the Kuro and Shiro style. We will take pictures as we usually do.
Afterwards, we will be attending a 3D showing of "Alice in Wonderland" at the cinema. BHAFAS will NOT be paying the ticket price. If you wish to attend the film, you'll have to bring your own funds. We will be carpooling to the theatre from Borders.
Kuro and Shiro lolita is highly encouraged for this particular event but if you do not have either styles, please join us any ways and we'll hopefully have a fun night together!
The style following this one will be Hime Gyaru (Princess Gal) and will be a picnic in April in Spearfish Park, providing the weather holds. More on that meeting on the 26th.
Allison (lajewelcat), I have everything for your Kuro outfit! You'll just need to bring a black shirt, black shoes, and if you wish, black knee highs or stockings. I look forward to seeing you there!
Bunny (shareecedesiree), I can't wait to see you again! I'm waiting on a message from one of the BHAFAS members as to whether or not they're carpooling with me. I'll know by Thursday hopefully!
