Konbanwa, minnasan, I hope everyone out there in Cyberland is doing well! It was a heck of a two days for me. I ended up getting very sick at work yesterday and was running a pretty steady low grade fever. This morning I ended up throwing up about three times before I felt normal.
Besides that, I have been gutting my room in completion. It's been a laborous process but it's really nice to see all my shelves and such again! I should be done with everything by tomorrow!
One thing I have learned is when I'm really sick or feverish, my writing seems to get a lot better! ::laughs:: So I finished the next chapter of "Like Blood to Water" and also about a 1/4th of chapter nine. This stems from one sequence in the new chapter that I felt didn't gel well, so I moved it into nine!
To be honest, I cried when I wrote this. It was very emotional for me and a small part of my heart broke. But there must be pain before real joy, ne? I hope everyone enjoys and thank you for all your continued support! Ja ne for now! =~.^=V

CHAPTER EIGHT: Behind the Veil
Yoochun's eyes went wide as he felt Yunho's lips press against his. His whole body trembled in reaction. He felt as though his world was spinning around him. He couldn't discern if it was Yunho's lips or the blood dripping out of his hands that was making everything strange and distant. His eyelashes flickered and then fell shut.
He didn't care if Yunho only saw who Yoochun might have been. All he knew was that his precious Yunho was kissing him. Yoochun's reddened hands dropped downwards and his fingers curled into the hem of Yunho's shirt.
The Dark drew backward slowly. His red pupiled eyes were dialated. He could still smell the thickening scent of Yoochun's blood wafting through the heated bathroom. His gaze watched as Yoochun's eyes opened. His lips were wet and parted. He could hear his friend's near breathless exhale.
Yunho's lips were tinted with Yoochun's blood. He could feel the tingle against his mouth. Without thought, the Dark swiped his tongue against the maroon. Yoochun blinked out of his daze to see Yunho licking away the barest brush of red against his bottom lip.
The vampire suddenly went rigid.
Yunho could feel something quiver inside of him. His eyes darted back and forth rapidly. He felt disjointed. He tried to focus on anything but the hint of Yoochun basking on his tongue. The room was suddenly too small. Every sound from his companion's breathing to the shower's pouring water was too loud and acute. The minimal lighting of the small enclosure was stinging his over sensitive eyes more than usual.
The taller stumbled backwards from Yoochun and covered his face with his hands. He hissed angrily as his skin prickled to life. Even the artificial light felt like it was burning right through his thick sun protectant. The Dark shook his head back and forth. The spinal nerve leading up to his brain seemed to be on fire. Long lost pains started to radiate upwards until it seemed to strike the very center of Yunho's brain.
A swirl of unbidden images flashed in front of his clenched eyes. Some were so fast he could only feel the sensations of them. Others played out with such vivid detail that Yunho wasn't sure how long each image was taking.
He is a child being tutored with a younger boy who would later become his servant. They fight at first but become the best of friends.
He is a young man being informed that his grandfather has passed away suddenly in the country. They would be moving to his estate. He begs his father and mother to let him take his dear friend. They agree.
He is dueling with his dear friend. It was the usual practice. He outwits him and they end up falling into a pile. He lands on top. He never realized how beautiful his dear friend was.
His father informs him he will be taking over as lord of the manor. He has a bride picked out for him. He waits for his dear friend to come in from the rain. He wants to tell him the news but instead they make love for the first and last time.
He is crying over a scroll brought to him. The penmanship is flawed but states that his dear friend and the bride that he has run off with are dead.
He is standing at a tree. Two names are carved. He touches them before sitting down and waiting for night to fall. He has a knife.
Yunho's hands ripped away from his face. His whole frame was shaking violently. His fangs were tearing into the bottom of his mouth.
Yoochun was struck speechless. He didn't know if he wanted to scream and run or if he should try and get Yunho some help. The Dark seemed to be struggling with something that only he could see. His much older friend jerked a couple times and then looked up at Yoochun. The rims of his eyes were brimmed with something similiar to tears.
"...blood." Yoochun barely whispered to himself.
"Oh gods, please, don't. I don't want to live this again. Please." Yunho sobbed.
Yoochun's face contorted. He saw the utter pain that passed through Yunho's eyes. Darkish, almost black fluid started to bubble up out of the corner's of Yunho's mouth. The same color started to appear out of his nose.
"My lord!" Yoochun shouted.
His lord. Yes, this man was his lord. No, no he wasn't. He was the other Yoochun's lord. But that was still him.
The confusion became agonizing for Yoochun as more of the dark fluid began to drip out of Yunho's mouth. The red streaks slid down the Dark's flawless cheeks and painted the already stained floor a vibrant color.
Yunho's eyes rolled backwards as the searing pain in his chest seemed to consume all of his senses.
The blade pushes through his chest. He turns it just right to ensure that he would bleed to death. He would join his dear friend in the next life. He would make sure of it.
The vampire's shirt started to blossom a rapidly darkening color in his chest area. Yoochun cried as Yunho's head struck the back of the marble inlaid sink.
There is someone with him. He has red pupils and raven hair. He makes a deal with him in exchange for his mortal life. He will do whatever it takes to see his dear friend again. His beloved. His most cherished Yoochun... Yoochun...
He slid downwards. The blackish liquid flowed out of the bottom of Yunho's shirt. It coated his pants. Yunho shook violently and thrashed. Without warning, the Dark went frighteningly still.
"......yunho?" Yoochun croaked.
His hands were still bleeding but the pain was a fleeting thought. He edged over to his fallen companion. He could hear pounding on the bathroom door.
"YUNHO!! YOOCHUN!!"
There were a number of voices calling through the walls.
"OPEN UP!!!" Jaejoong's voice rang above all the others.
Yoochun lowered down to his knees. Yunho's head was rolled backwards at a near impossible angle. His mouth was open and the strange fluid had spilled freely from him lips and coated his chin. His eyes were caught in a glassy stare, red pupils enlarged to a saucer size. His skin was even colder than normal for a Dark. He made no reaction to Yoochun.
"Yunho?" Yoochun asked a little louder.
"YOOCHUN!!!! YUNHO!!!! I'LL BREAK THIS DAMN DOOR DOWN!!!" Jaejoong screamed.
Yoochun brought up one of his injured, shaking hands. He touched the thick liquid that was still slipping out of the corner of Yunho's mouth. It as an odd viscous substance. It smelt almost like human blood but there was a distinctive, nearly sweet scent to it. For an unknown reason it caused Yoochun's mouth to water. He was so focused on the blackish fluid he didn't even notice the raven hair that was descending down his shoulders and over one of his eyes.
He felt almost disconnected as he raised the coated finger up to his mouth. He parted his lips to slip the tip in and lick off the substance. A hand suddenly grabbed his wrist and stopped him almost violently. Yoochun's shocked face rose to look at Yunho gazing at him. His expression was deeply sorrowful.
"......yoochun, forgive me."
The door to the bathroom burst open.
*****
Jaejoong continued to sip his coffee. Junsu and Eunhyuk had flipped on the television. The trio were relatively distracted when the shattering of glass could be heard above. Jaejoong's eyes shot upwards.
"What the hell?" the raven haired man questioned.
"Sounds like somebody dropped something." Junsu commented.
"Changmin? Was that you?" Jaejoong shouted up the stairs.
There was silence from above. The elder frowned deeply. He rose from his chair and set the coffee mug on the table. The lanky singer walked over to the staircase and peered up the steps.
"Changmin?"
"Hyung!!!" Jaejoong heard Changmin's exclamation.
"Something's wrong." Eunhyuk stated from the couch. He grabbed Junsu's hand and were rapidly following Jaejoong up the stairs.
The three jumped steps until they were at the top hallway. Changmin was standing at the bathroom shaking the doorknob.
"What's going on, Minnie?" Junsu questioned.
"Chunnie wanted to take a shower. I went to my room and was reading. I heard some glass fall so I came to check to see if he was all right. Then I heard Yunho's voice!"
"Yunho? But we didn't see him come in!" Jaejoong stated.
"I know!" Changmin replied, his voice distressed. "He probably scaled the building and went through the window! I've been trying to get the door pushed open because I heard them shouting at each other!"
The youngest members exclamations were interrupted by a sudden thumping noise that crackled everyone's nerves. Their stomachs mutually dropped at the sound. Yunho's voice ripped through the bathroom door.
"Oh gods, please, don't. I don't want to live this again. Please."
Yoochun's voice rang out after that terrible statement.
"My lord!"
Changmin stepped aside as Jaejoong began to pound violently on the wooden frame. He kicked the bottom of the door hard with his thick soled boot. The door wavered but the lock didn't come undone. He grit his teeth in anger and irritation.
"Junsu, if we don't get this door open in the next five minutes, call the police."
"Jaejoong?"
The sounds suddenly went chillingly quiet on the other side of the door. The four men outside of the bathroom ceased their pounding. Everyone craned forward to listen for some sort of sign from either of their bandmates.
The barest whisper of Yoochun could be heard after what felt like an inmeasurable amount of time.
"......yunho?"
"YUNHO!! YOOCHUN!!" Changmin shouted at the door.
"OPEN UP!!!" Jaejoong demanded after Changmin.
Once again the room was quiet. The group could make out the sound of movement across the tiles on the other side. Jaejoong could even glimpse the shift of shadow underneath the lighted crack at the bottom of the door.
"Yunho?" came Yoochun's voice from the other side.
"YOOCHUN!!!! YUNHO!!!! I'LL BREAK THIS DAMN DOOR DOWN!!!" Jaejoong screamed.
There was no response from the other side. Jaejoong growled and backed up. Changmin slipped to the side. Eunhyuk moved from Junsu's side and went next to Jaejoong.
"On the count of three, we ram, all right?" Jaejoong instructed.
Eunhyuk nodded.
"One. Two. Three!!"
The two men struck the door hard. The hinges creaked and the lock split from it's base. The door flew open sending Jaejoong and Eunhyuk skittering into the room. The duo struck the nearest wall. Changmin and Junsu quickly entered the small area. Junsu immediately had to cover his mouth to keep from screaming.
Yunho was sitting on the ground. His back was propped against the sink. His face was a mesh of red and black liquid. His shirt was glued to his chest by the same odd, almost sweet smelling thick fluid. Yoochun was kneeling next to him. Blood was dripping out of his hands. His face was smeared with red. His short hair had given way to a long, raven mane. One of Yoochun's wrists was captured by Yunho's hand. The two looked up at the other four.
"Oh gods, Yunho, what have you done?" Changmin gasped.

A stranger stood outside of the dormitory. He rested his back against the tree that grew on the group's lawn.
He just had to be patient. He knew the last time he had been here, the resident Dark had sensed his presence. Though he knew he could have easily taken the slightly taller vampire in battle, that wasn't his main focus.
A distinctive smell wafted from an open bathroom window. He had spied from a distance the Dark member scaling the wall. He knew he would just have to bide his time until blood was shed.
The copper scent drifted downwards and made the stranger's mouth water. His fangs reacted almost violently. He bit down on his tongue to keep some of his instincts at bay. It had been far too long since he had smelt that tempting red liquor.
The cacophony from the other members would soon draw attention from nearby apartments. The stranger continued to look upwards. A sensation struck him. For a human it would have been easily dismissed. For one of his kind, it was an instant beacon.
"Well, well, Lord Yunho. It seems you finally woke up." the stranger mused. "Which means that he can't be far behind."
With that thought, the Dark turned from the dorm and seemed to melt into the shadows of the night.
