Amusement and General Stuff =^^=;;
Konbanwa, minnasan, I hope everyone out there in Cyberland is doing well! We celebrated my father's birthday yesterday and today. I got him the "Hellboy 2" DVD, Mum got him a cell phone case, we took him to "Ice Age 3" and he had a "Cars" themed birthday cake. My pop is such a kid at heart, it's hilarious!
It was fun and my brother and sister-in-law were over with the kids. Even my dad's younger brother came to dinner. Overall I think it was a pretty good birthday for him.
I just finished and e-mailed off my Blind Pic Fic Challenge piece to Tsukichan for the competition. I confess that this fic took me almost a month to come up with. It was weird, because it actually only took me about thirty minutes to write tonight with spell check, etc. once I knew what I was doing.
I'm glad I was able to do some writing as I've had great difficulty finding the time to write the next chapter of "Like Blood to Water." I know what I want to do with the next chapter, but I haven't been able to sit down and actually write it. Plus, we're starting to get into the real "meat" of the storyline and very similiar to my "Impasse/AAO!verse" work, there's alot of loose storylines that will start tying together when they're ready. (Which just means Miry has to do a lot of mental choreography again.)
On a slightly random note, one of my readers commented that the videos March makes for my fiction have the "same soul." I LOVE THAT! I never looked at it that way but it's brilliant. I hope that my writing is half as cool as March illustrates it!
If you've written some fics and I haven't had a chance to read them, I'm SOOO sorry. I'm trying to play catch up with a number of pieces and haven't gotten there yet. (aka I hope to read everything that Carey and Jenna have written someday. =^^=;;)
Oh, like my new Jack Sparrow icon? I made three new ones since I've been upgraded from 35 user pics to 40 user pics. I have that one, which makes me laugh, a melancholy one called "New Horizon," and then my new default, featuring my perferred PotC pairing. I love this one though, it makes me giggle every time I look at it.
Other than that, can't say much more is going on! I'm heading over to Rapid City tomorrow to see Bunny and buy a new shirt pattern along with some beads for my competition costume. I'm getting it done and I'm very excited!
