Spider Bites, Writers Block and RL in General...
Konbanwa, minnasan, I hope everyone in Cyberland is doing well! It's been a really busy three-day weekend for me. I actually had it off work, but because of everything else I had going on, it just flew by. My job is REALLY taking alot of my time lately, especially with the 4th coming up. Because of that, I haven't been able to work a stitch on the newest chapter of "Like Blood to Water."
I actually don't have "writer's block" in the usual term. In fact, I know exactly what I want to do with the next chapter, but it's going to be another good week before I can even attempt to write anything. I'll be glad when the Holiday comes to an end, but on the upside, we get to celebrate my nephew Evin's 2nd birthday on the 4th! (He was actually born on the 5th.)
To add to the rather unusual situation of RL, I awoke a couple days ago to find two very good sized spider bites on my left foot. Today, my littlest cat Bitsy started convulsing on the bar she normally sits on. My mother managed to get her under control and after about five minutes, she seemed okay but was nursing one of her paws. Apparently a spider laid into her too. So, we're considering spider bombing the house. I have nothing against the creatures, but if we've got ones that are venomous enough to actually harm my animals, they've got to go.
I'm also in the midst of working on my Competition Cosplay. I'm pleased to say that the most "difficult" portion of the outfit is done, my next job is to work on the pants and the special designed chaps that go over the top. Then I have a set of thigh high white spike heeled boots that still go over that. (This is one VERY hot outfit and not always in the "fun" sense.)
Our Cosplay troupe, Genki no Cosplay also scored an Artist's Table at Nan Desu Kan in Denver this year. We'll be selling some speciality accessories and I'll be selling prints of some of my more professional art pieces. If you're heading to NDK, come and check us out, ne? If you don't buy anything, I'd just love to meet more of my readers!
So, in a nutshell, RL is actually kinda' kicking my rear at this point. I wish I had more time to stay in better contact with everyone, and I feel bad I haven't been doing as good as I should. But I want each one of you to know that I do think about you. I'm so grateful for your friendship, even if many of you I've never even met. But that's okay, because even if it's just words on a screen, that can mean just as much as getting a real hug.
Well, I'm off to actually go to bed. Bunny came and crashed at my house last night so we could work on stuff for our cosplays and artist alley. Needless to say, we did that, but also went swimming, played DDR Extreme, ate out, got ice cream, attended a Pampered Chef party, ate dinner, made accessories, set off fireworks, made more accessories, watched "The Hunt for Gollum," fangirled over LotR for a long time, reread my old Blog I don't update any more and then finally went to sleep. All in all, I'm running on three hours. =^^=;;
