Doctor Who is now immortal, reveals the BBC

UHM, GUYS.

The big thing here is that RUSSELL wrote the 'Death of the Doctor' SJA script, and not the Moff. Is RTD playing mind games with us? Or the media hyping up the whole thing? I mean, there's no actual BBC press release or whatever that says 'immortal'. IDK.

I'm not so sure about the term 'immortal'. Of course the number of regenerations the Doctor can have was bound to change, given the rate they're going through now, and I don't have a problem with that. The actual line is "Clyde asks how many times he can regenerate. The Doctor indicates that there is no limit. ". So its a bit vague there and I don't find so much a problem about 'no limit' because he still could possible die, don't you think? I mean, in Turn Left, RTD wrote that the Doctor died before he could regenerate, so that is still very much canon. But to be immortal? First thing that springs to mind is Captain Jack, who is pretty much miserable for being immortal now. Just think, if the Doctor was immortal, all that I miss my Rose 'burden of a Time Lord' thing's gonna follow him FOREVER, no?

Maybe Russell's just being Russell who likes being vague and cause the Internet mosquitos to swarm. :p In context it could turn out to be just a throwaway answer to stop more questions or whatever in the plot! Plus, it is the Sarah Jane adventures (with no offense at all to SJA) and not the actual Who series. I'm now leaning more towards media overhype who came up with 'immortal' rather than actual immortal!Doctor.
