This week has been blah.
So. One of my favorite cousins in getting married in about three weeks. Blake. He's like two years younger than me. This is slightly weirding me out. But I'm very happy for him. Kasey is a great girl, and she's just as crazy as he is -- they work very well together. I just realized that I've no clue what I'm going to wear. Rawr. I hate shopping.
Speaking of... Nora drug me shopping yesterday. I bought a shirt and a knee-lengthed sundress. Mom drug me shopping today. She also bought me a sundress (but this one goes down to the ground). I now have dresses. That I'm obligated to wear. Because money was spent acquiring them. This leaves me feeling slightly sad, because anything that is not trousers/pants is not of the good in my book. Now, sadly, I must go shopping again -- this time for wedding-wear. Lame.
The SciFi channel has been showing The Dresden Files. When I first saw the commercials for it, I was like "Nah, that looks stupid." But then I watched, out of curiosity, and lo and behold -- its awesome. I was so pleased with the show that I decided to investigate the books. And whoa. They are SO GOOD. I mean, yeah, it's like anything that started as a book and got made into another media -- you like some things better in one version. Like Bob. Bob is my absolute favorite character in the TV show. He's a sort of ghost... His soul has been imprisoned in his own skull because of his heinous violation of one of the seven laws of magic. He helps Harry out, and is generally sarcastic. In the books Bob is an air spirit tied to a skull, and he's basically a living computer -- he stores all the recipes for potions, Harry somestimes releases him and he gathers information from the Nevernever, and he's a bit of a letch. Amusing, certainly, but Bob from the TV show is way more awesome. Still, the books (as expected) are more detailed and thusly highly entertaining. I've read two of them already.
Which reminds me -- I'm off to read s'more Dresden. Yay!
