Hi Ho, Hi Ho.
Because of my last entry someone said, "I thought you were happy with your job." *clears throat* Let me explain my situation.
I do like working at FASTSIGNS. People are nice and I get along with them..for the most part. Pay is...it is okay for my first job out of college tho I would be making close to that now if I stayed at the market working as a manager. We just recently got health insurance, but no dental and vision.
Now then, the reason I am going to start looking around for another job is because:
I originally planned on only staying here for about a year so I could get some experience in the field. I need projects that will challenge me creatively rather than repeating an old order or just typing out some numbers. And the main reason a fire has been lit under my butt is Justin.
Don't get me wrong, I like him as a person and think he is pretty good at Design...but ever since he came back to work here at FASTSIGNS things have been going down hill for me. Justin and the manager Kerstin recently got engaged so they spend a little longer on their breaks and whatnot doing wedding stuff..that is okay. Cidnee(the owner) gives Justin projects to do that he can just come up with something...that is a little annoying. But the thing that drives me up the wall is this. Justin does some part time work for another company doing design stuff, but he does it at work! He brings his other stuff to FASTSIGNS to work on and then I get stuck doing all the other work(Which I do faster anyways). He also spends a lot of time on the phone taking care of personal matters.*smacks forehead* I know everyone talks on the phone for personal reasons every now and then...but he will spend hours.
So, there is the reason why I am getting geared up to do this. I just need to set aside some time to actually work on my resume and update my portfolio. Hey, there is always that four day weekend coming up.^^
