Part 1  Part 2  Part 3  Part 4  Part 5  Part 6

When I woked up early in the morning to get ready for class, I wasn’t too pleased to be in my cat form. I gave Nichkhun my hardest glared and he just smiled at me.

“Sorry.”

“Seriously, Hyung?” I grumbled and stood up, stretching out.

He was laying down on his stomach, staring at me. I walked over towards him and placed a paw onto his face. “Hurry up....”

“With what?”

I rolled my eyes and looked away from him. “You know....”

I heard him chuckled and then I felt soft lips on mine. After the poof, I quickly grabbed the covers, wrapping them around me. I shuffled out of the bed and headed towards the closet as a blush grazed my cheeks.

“You’re welcome~” I heard him say as I shut the door behind me.

My heart was pounding like crazy and Nichkhun’s borrowed backpack would be screaming loudly in pain if it was alive as I squeezed on the straps. Nichkhun was leading me to my first class and I wasn’t prepared at all. He told me that all I needed was myself and that the school gave the students all their books, but since I wasn’t issued one yet, I will have to borrow his old one. Nichkhun was in his 2nd year of college. He did offer me to use one of his binders, which I gladly accepted.

As we made it to our designation, I couldn’t help but panic more. Just thinking about the class itself was nerve racking. This was my very first public school and classroom. It wasn’t as comfortable as Mom’s and Dad’s room, our kitchen, our living room, or my own room. I let out a shaky breath and frowned. I wasn’t ready.

“Well, here you are. My class is next door, so if you need any help, just come over and I’ll be there.”

I looked up at Nichkhun, giving him my most pleading look. I did realized I depended on him a little too much, but he was my only source of help. “Can I just not go?”

He gave me a confused expression, making me sigh. “I’ve never been to a school....”

“Seriously? Never?”

“Never. I read about school life, but--”

Nichkhun rested a hand on my head and ruffled my hood that was hiding my cat ears. I quickly pushed him away and fixed my hood that he made crooked and gave him a glare. I quickly stepped back as he leaned down to mine.

“Wh-What?”  I mumbled.

He smiled at me. “I would like to join you, but I won’t be able today, but I might tomorrow though. I can’t miss too many days....”

“Too many? How many classes had you missed.”

He gave me a cheeky grin and pushed me towards the door, opening it along the way. “Just smile.”

I bit my bottom lip and stared out at the students that stared at me. A few of them started to whisper to their neighbors. I instinctively, inched closer to Nichkhun, trying to hide myself from sight.

“Wooyoung!” A student shouted, causeing the people around him to look at him.

I looked at the student and noticed he looked a little familiar to me. I instantly pointed at him. “Chansung!”

A smile broke on my face as he smiled at me. I knew at least one person.

Nichkhun wrapped an arm around my shoulder. I looked up at him, but he wasn’t looking down at me, but at one of the student’s, glaring.

“Oh, you must be the new student.”

I looked away from Nichkhun and stared at the woman, who was standing in front of the class. She was wearing a black skirt and a red blouse. She had ruby red glasses that matched along with her blouse and shoes. Her black hair was pinned up into a bun to show off her pearl earrings and necklace. I nodded softly at her comment, after getting a nudged from Nichkhun.
She looked over me at Nichkhun, seeing him nudged me. “And what can I do for you Mr. Horvejkul?”

I could tell Nichkhun was smiling brightly at her, even thought I wasn’t looking at him. “Hiya.”

“Don’t ‘Hiya’, me. Get on to class.”

“Can I please tour around in your classroom just this time? You and Mr. Howl, teach the same subject and it does repeat. I doubt I’ll get behind since you’re a very good teacher, so please, Mrs. Lee. Plus, I need to help my roommate understand a few things. I do want to be a very good roll model.”

I looked up at him for a moment. ‘I thought he couldn’t stay?’

Mrs. Lee pondered for a moment. “Well, I am a good teacher....” She let out a sigh. “Fine, just don’t disrupt the classroom. I’ll tell Mr. Howl after class that you was with me. Now, please take your seat.”

“Sit by me!" Chansung yelled, pointing at the empty desks beside him. Nichkhun pulled me towards the back of the classroom at the seats Chansung called for that were near the windows. He sat me near the windows, while he took the seat that separated Chansung and me.

I looked over towards Chansung and he just smiled. “You’ll love this class, but not because of the teacher.”

I raised an eyebrow at him. “Then of what?”

“Me!”

I laughed at him. “I might. I’m just glad I know at least one person in here.”

“What’s your next class?”

I pulled off the backpack and put it in front of me, pulling out the binder. I put the backpack down on to the floor and opened up the binder to pull out my schedule. “Hmm, after this I have writing class in the art building on the forth floor. But I have a free hour until then.”

“Aw, I won’t see you then. I have to go to the culinary class in the cook slash bake building. I forgot what it was called, but anyway, that’s literally on the opposite side of the art building. Way out of my way.”

“Oh, I see....”

“But I think Nichkhun has music class?”

I looked over at Nichkhun, who nodded his head in agreement. “I do, don’t I.... I need to go get my case. I completely forgot about it.”

I smiled. “You’re going to play your violin.”

He smiled at me. “Yep. You can listen in if you want, until your class starts.”

I softly nodded.

He pulled off his backpack he had on him and pulled out a binder and the book for the class. He handed me the book, placing it on my desk and then pulled out a two pencils. One, he handed to me, and the other he kept for himself. He placed his backpack on the ground just in time for a bell to ring.

“Alright! I believe we have everyone. Now let’s start class.”

Everyone turned their attentions towrads the teacher. “Let’s let our new student introduce himself to the class before we start.”
Upon hearing the words, ‘introduce, new, and student’, I instantly felt like I was getting a mini heart attack.

“Go on, stand up.” Nichkhun whispered at me.

I slowly stood up, looking down and rubbing my mittened hands together as my nervousness built up. “Um...”

I felt my cat ears flatten as I couldn’t find my words. It’s a wondered my tail didn’t accidently slip out of my jacket as I slowly swished it side to side, trying to calm myself down. I felt a touch on my hand and looked over at Nichkhun, who locked a finger with my pinky. He smiled warmly at me. “Just say your name and a hobby.”

I felt my cheeks heat up and placed my free hand to rubbed at my face, covering my mouth along the way. “Hi.... My name is Jang Wooyoung. I-I like to listen to music and to dance and write....”

The teacher smiled at me. “Welcome Mr. Jang!”

“Welcome!” The whole class yelled, looking at me.

“Welcome!” Chansung yelled.

“Welcome.” Nichkhun whispered.

I nodded my head slowly and sat back down, covering my face, that was red as an apple. I heard Nichkhun chuckled silently at me. I made sure no one was looking at us and gave him a glare, but that just made him laugh more.

“Okay, class. Please turn to the first chapter. We are going to do a review to help Mr. Jang catch up along with us. This may help a few of you who have been slacking.”

Some people groaned, while others just let out a sigh of relief. I smile a little to myself. This was a classroom.

“Thank goodness. I needed help on that.” I heard Chansung mumbled, as he turned his book to the first chapter.

“Still nervous?” Nichkhun whispered at me.

I looked over at Nichkhun. “A little, but I’ll be fine.”

I felt a grip tightened on my pinky, making me realized he still had it. I quickly snatched my hand back and turned my book to the first chapter, looking at the teacher, who was talking about some important man in the history book.

“Cute.” Nichkhun whispered.

I ignored him and continued to listen to the teacher.

“You know, since I’m technically cutting my class for you.... You can at least not ignore me.”

I bit my bottom lip and turned my head towards him. “Sorry for wanting to learn.”

He smiled at me and reached out to grab my hand. I didn’t fight him as he pulled it towards him, locking our fingers together. He then laid his head on the table, staring at our hands. “I can teach you anything you want. More than these teachers would ever know and stuff that you won’t be able to learn in a classroom. To tell you the truth, I’m just here for show, but don’t tell anyone about that.”

I gave him a confused looked. “What are you talking about?”

He shooked his head. “ Nevermind, It's not important. Just know that you’re mine.”

I didn’t reply as I turned to look away from him, looking out the window. I tried not to be affected by his words, but it’s hard when it’s true. Since he’s my link to sever this stupid curse, I am his. Still, he’s not going to get me as easy as he thinks. Should I tell my parents that I'm--

“Jang Wooyoung. Can you please report to the office."

I turned my head towards the teacher who had turned her head towards the intercom. “The office? I wondered why?”

She turned back around to and looked at me, along with the other students. “Well, go on. Go to the office."

I raised an eyebrow at her. “I don’t even know where it’s at...."

“Really? Then how did you even find your dorm?"

I pointed at Nichkhun. “I-I bumped into him."

“Oh, I can show him where it’s at." Chansung said, smiling widely.

“Oh, then--"

“I’ll show him." Nichkhun said,  raising his head and releasing my hand. “Plus, you need to stay on class.”

He then picked up his backpack and started putting everything he took out, back inside it. He put it on and looked down at me. I quickly grabbed my stuff, placing them inside the backpack stoop up as he started to pull on my sleeve. He pulled me towards the the door.

Mrs. Lee sighed, shaking her head softly. “Nice meeting you for the first few minutes of class. Hope to see you again, maybe a little longer.”

I nodded my head and followed after Nichkhun.

Nichkhun took me out the building and head towards the main building.

“Finally free!” He yelled, startling me.

“It wasn’t even ten minutes.”

He looked over at me. “Trust me. You will get sick and tired of it. A minute is long enough.”

“I see....”

“I wondered why you got called to the main office. Did you do anything illegal? Did you cheated on the exam!”

“Ani!” I yelled at him, hitting him in the arm. “I tried my hardest on that test. Why in the world would I even cheat!?”

Nichkhun rubbed his arm and gave me a cheesy grin. “I’m glad I have a smart boyfriend.”

I rolled my eyes at him. “I’m not your boyfriend and don’t say that so loud.”

He frowned. “Would you rather to be called my lover then? Or are you like ‘that’? You want to be called girlfriend?”

I stopped walking and grabbed him by the collar. “What do you mean by ‘that’? Anyways, I don’t want you to call me that either. You got it? My name is Wooyoung. I’m no ones property.”

He just smiled at me and grabbed my hand that was on his collar. “Ive never thought of you as my property. Geez, Woo. can’t you see that I’m crazy in love with you?”

I snatched my hand away from his and pushed him back. “You don’t even know me.”

“Oh about that....I lied. Can you forgive me?”

“Wh-What?”

He sniffed and rubbed his hands together. I guess the coldness was getting to him. He only had on a hoodie and a scarf, unlike my full package. “Well, remember I told you that our families never met? Well, I lied. We actually met before.”

I stared at him for a good while before, turning around and heading towards the main building that Nichkhun was leading me. It was only a few seconds before I heard soft footsteps, following me. “You’re not mad?”

I didn’t answer him as I thought on it. ‘We met before? But where? Ugh, I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen him before.... But my memory isn’t good either....’

“Woo, you’re not mad right?”

“No....”

I heard him let out a breath of air and then felt a hand grab mine. I looked over at my side and saw him staring ahead. “Hey do you think it’ll snow again? I mean we already have a good foot on the ground.”

I sighed. “Maybe, maybe not.”

He peered down at me and pouted. “Well, you’re no fun. Are you sure you’re not mad?”

“Yes, I’m sure. Plus, I have more things to worry about besides the fact you lied to me. For example, why was I called up to the office?”

He squeezed my hand and tilted his head back. “Acha, I have a mean boyfriend!”

“Stop yelling and I told you--”

“Wooyoung?” a female voice called out to me.

I looked ahead of me and saw two people I didn’t want to see. I instantly gasped and stopped walking. Nichkhun stopped along with me. “What’s wrong?”

I didn’t reply as I stepped backwards, nearly tripping, and started to run back from where I came from, tugging Nichkhun with me.

“Jang Wooyoung!”

I kept running, ignoring the call of my own mother.
