Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Wooyoung looked towards where he heard the sounds, which were coming from the direction of their dorm. Wooyoung grimaced. He had a bad feeling.
“I wondered what happened?” Nichkhun whispered as if it was too dangerous to speak normally.
Wooyoung grabbed onto Nichkhun’s shirt. “Let’s go and see.”
NIchkhun looked down at him when he grabbed onto him. Wooyoung was shaking. “Alright....”
He pulled Wooyoung closer to him and walked towards the dorm. As they neared the area, they noticed a huge crowd in the distance, gathering three blocks away from the dorm. A police siren and a emergency siren could be heard coming towards the scene. Once they came closer towards the crowd, Nichkhun saw a man, on the curb crying, “I’m so sorry--I-I didn’t see him.”
Wooyoung took noticed that there was a black mark on the guy‘s forehead that he was pretty sure he had seen before.
“What in the world hap--”
“Nichkhun!”
Nichkhun swirled his head around to see a tear-stained cheek Junho, running towards him. He wrapped an arm around him, suffocating Wooyoung in between them.
“He’s dead. Oh my god, he’s dead, Hyung. I just know it!” Junho cried on his shoulder.
“Wh-What are you talking about Junho? Who’s dead?”
Junho let out a coughed and wailed loudly. “Chansung!”
Nichkhun’s head quickly snapped towards the crowd that started to dissipate as the police and emergency vehicle arrived. On the cold concrete, Nichkhun saw a male body lying there, in a pool of blood. His clothes that once looked clean and sharp where now torn and dirty with dirt and blood. Nichkhun would’ve just passed it off as a sad tragedy, but the male was wearing the same clothes Chansung was wearing when he went out with him.
Nichkhun found himself in a terrible predicament. With Junho wailing on this shoulder about how he should’ve move that this was unfair that this wasn’t real, Nichkhun couldn’t move. He couldn’t breathe. He was in such a shocked state of mind that he couldn’t even find the right emotion to express. He wanted to cry along with Junho, but he couldn’t. He was the oldest at the scene and he needed to act like it.
Wooyoung couldn’t take it anymore, not from being squished between them and not from hearing that Chansung was hurt. He pushed out of Nichkhun’s arm, landing painfully hard on his knees and hands. He ignored the burning sensation on his hands and knees and ran towards Chansung with tears forming in his eyes. “Channie!”
Wooyoung ignored the calls from Nichkhun as he neared Chansung’s body. He knelt down beside him and quickly laid his head down onto his chest, not caring at all for getting dirty. “Channie!”
Wooyoung felt a hand fall on his head. He looked up and saw Chansung’s eyes on him. Wooyoung wanted to try some more, but Chansung tried to shake his head no, making him take his hands to clasp around Chansung’s head so that it wouldn’t do it.
“Don’t move, okay? Ju-Just don’t. Everything’s go-going to be okay. Just don’t leave me!”
Wooyoung went back to laying his head on Chansung’s chest, hearing a slow, but steady heart beat. Chansung’s hand that was on the back of his head, was rubbing his head slowly.
All of the sudden, Wooyoung felt a tugged from the back of his shirt, yanking him back off from Chansung. Wooyoung whipped his head around to see an angry police officer, glaring at him.
“Let me go! I have to protect Channie!” He yelled, trying to yank the officers hold off of him.
“Son, that’s what the paramedics are here for. We don’t need a crazy fan all over him. Now let’s find your pare--”
“I’m not a fan! He’s my freaking friend!”
The officer ignored his rant as he picked him up and carried him off away from chansung. Wooyoung looked back around and saw the paramedics, putting Chansung on the stretcher. He cried and wailed and pretty much almost beat the officer to put him down, until more secured arms grabbed him, putting him into their chest.
“Officer, he’s with me.”
Wooyoung grabbed on to Nichkhun’s shirt, crying his eyes out. Nichkhun ran his fingers in his hair, trying to soothe him. The officer gave him a look of disbelief, but allowed him to have Wooyoung since he had other things to take care of. He left the three and went over to pick up the man that was sitting on the curb, crying as many other bystanders pointed him out as the hitter.
Nichkhun walked over towards the emergancy vehicle as they put Chansung in the back and asked the paramedic which hospital they were taking him. They told him and asked if he wanted to ride with them. Nichkhun shooked his head and softly pushed Junho in front of him.
“He wants to. I’ll just let the others know, okay Junho? Be brave. I’ll get the others and we’ll be right on our way. Chansung needs you more than ever now.”
Junho sniffed and nodded his head, getting in and sitting beside Chansung. He clasped one of Chansung’s hands, praying that he would be okay.
Nichkhun watched as they closed the door and drove away, putting on their sirens and lights. Nichkhun turned around just in time to see the driver be towed away to the police car by two police officers. He instantly lost all sense of mind and ran towards the guy, punching him square in the jaw. The guy let out a yell in pain as he landed on the ground.
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry! I-I’m sorry....”
One of the officers stepped in front of Nichkhun, grabbing his arm, before he could proceed with punching the life out of the guy. “Cool it son. Let the higher ups handle it.”
“Higher ups? Pfft, if he gets away with it, then what? Let's just say that if Chansung dies, he better hopes he doesn’t ever come around here!”
Nichkhun pulled his arm, roughly out of the officer’s grip and walked away. The crowd clear away from him as he started to head back towards the rest of his friends, pulling his only source that kept him sane closer to him.

Junho laid his head down on the hospital bed as he gripped the unconscious Chansung’s hand. Wooyoung wanted to be next to Chansung too, but Nichkhun wouldn’t let him. He held a tight grip onto him, almost smothering him to death, but he ignored it as his matters didn’t matter at the moment. He stared down at Chansung, who had tubes and needles in him, a cast for his arm and left leg, and bandages wrapped around his head and torso. The doctors said that he was lucky to make it. He only had a broked arm and leg, bruised ribs, scratches along his arms, legs, and chest, and a gash on the back of his head that was the cause of him being unconscious for now. Wooyoung looked down at his still dirtied hands.
When they arrived with the others to the hospital, the doctors thought that he was injured too and tried to take him to the emergency room, but Nichkhun explained to them what happened. Still, that didn’t stopped them from pushing him into a room to check him for injuries.
Wooyoung sighed. He wanted to be the one injured instead of Chansung. Nichkhun heard Wooyoung sighed. He took a free hand and rubbed at his cheek, making Wooyoung stare up at him. “Come on. Let’s let the others come in. We need to get you clean up and changed too....” He looked over at Junho. “Junho, let’s go.”
Junho didn’t answer, making Nichkhun walk over towards him. Nichkhun leaned over him and saw that he fell asleep. Nichkhun gave off a soft smile and wiped underneath Junho’s eyes, cleaning off a dry tear.
“I guess he can stay for a little longer. Maybe the nurses won’t mind.”
Wooyoung nodded. Nichkhun looked over at Chansung and leaned down towards him, hugging him softly and stroking his cheek softly. Wooyoung gave him a soft hug and they both leaned up and headed out the door. Leaving, they were ambushed by Taecyeon, Junsu, and Wooyoung 2.
“Is he okay? How does he look? Can we come in. Oh my god, I can’t believe--.”
Nichkhun raised a hand and placed it on Junsu, shoulders. “Calm down and go in and don’t be so loud. They are both sleeping.”
Junsu nodded and passed by him, entering the room. Taecyeon bit his lower lip, looking on the verge of crying. “Nichkhun, If-If I knew... Man, I just can’t believe.... Why were they even heading back towards the dorm? Maybe Junho was going to give Wooyoung the clothes? I should’ve went with them. We all should’ve went with them....”
“Yea, I know how you feel.” Nichkhun sighed. “I’m going back to the dorm. Wooyoung needs to be cleaned up and staying at this hospital isn’t healthy for anyone. Call, me if Chansung wakes up while we’re gone.”
Taecyeon nodded and patted Nichkhun on the shoulder as he entered the room.
Wooyoung 2 grabbed Nichkhun’s sleeve, looking down at the floor. “I-I don’t know what to do. I-I’m so con-confused. Is it my fault? Is he going to be okay? I-I feel like crying, but I--”
Wooyoung shifted in Nichkhun shoulder and leaned over to pat Wooyoung 2 on the head. “It’s fine. Let’s just go home for now. It’s not you’re fault.”
Wooyoung 2 nodded and trudged beside Nichkhun, still holding on this his sleeve, as they headed back to the dorm.

Once at the dorm, Nichkhun took Wooyoung to the bathroom and started some warm water, adding in soap, in the tub. “Wooyoung....No...Keuyoung can--”
Wooyoung 2 ears perked up. “Keuyoung?”
“Ne. I thought about it last night. It’s best to have a name to yourself, right?” He smiled at him.
“On-Only if master approves....”
Wooyoung smiled at him. “I like it. Keuyoung it is.”
Keuyoung crotched down and hugged Wooyoung close to him. “Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!”
Wooyoung laughed softly at his childness. “Thank Nichkhun, not me.”
Keuyoung turned towards Nichkhun and bowed softly at him. Nichkhun just shooked his head and ruffled Keuyoung’s hair. “Can you bring me some clothes for Wooyoung? They should be in Junho’s room.”
Keuyoung jumped up quickly, rushing out the door. “Ne!”
Nichkhun looked down at Wooyoung. “I hope you really don’t mind.”
Wooyoung took off his shirt, staring at it before tossing it to the ground. “Nope. Not at all.”
Nichkhun reached over him to turn off the water. Wooyoung slipped off his pants and boxers. Nichkhun placed him in the bubble bath and scooped up a hand full of water, pouring it over Wooyoung’s head. Wooyoung closed his eyes immediately from the contact and shooked his head, getting Nichkhun slightly wet.
“Yah!”
“Shampoo!”
Nichkhun made a grunt and poured shampoo in his hands to wash Wooyoung’s hair. He stuck his hands in Wooyoung’s hair and got to work. After lathering his hair well, Nichkhun leaned on the tub and poked Wooyoung’s forehead hard, making him fall back into the tub. Wooyoung let out a yelled and thrashed around as he sat back up, eyes still closed. Nichkhun laughed and took a dry hand towel and wiped the soap from his eyes. Wooyoung opened his eyes and glared at him.
“Meanie....”
Nichkhun smiled at him, crossing his arms onto the side of the tub and placing his head onto his arms. “It’s all but love.”
Wooyoung didn’t replied, but snatched the towel from Nichkhun’s hand. He placed his back to him and started washing himself.
After a while, Wooyoung broked the silence. “Nichkhun....”
“Mm?”
Wooyoung let out a sigh and turned to face him. “Stop being so tough.”
Nichkhun let out a shakey breath. “Wh-What?”
Wooyoung placed a wet hand on top of his head, moving down to caress his cheek. “Just cry. Even Taec and Junsu were crying for Pete's sake.”
Nichkhun quickly frowned. "Taecyeon is known as baby and so is Junsu." Nichkhun bit his lips. "It's not like I-I'm like them...." He held his head down, covering his face with his arms as he softly started crying. "It's not fair. Ho-How in the world could this even happen! Then he said he was sorry? Sorry! Chansung could be--"
“Channie will be okay. I can make sure of that.” Wooyoung cut in, not liking the way Nichkhun was heading.
Nichkhun let out a dry cough and cleared his throat. “Ju-Junho asked me i-if I wanted to go with him, but I said no, so Chansung volunteered. I should’ve went wi-with him....”
Wooyoung frowned. He wasn't one to really comfort people and he didn't know what to say since Nichkhun did all the comforting, so he just kept quiet and let Nichkhun cry.
Keuyoung slowly stepped back into the bathroom, once Nichkhun calmed down. He was standing by the door the whole time. He didn't want to disrupt their moment. A small frowned grace his face as he neared Wooyoung. He had terrible news and he was just going to make the situation worst. He held onto Wooyoung’s baby clothes and crouched down, lifting up a red card. “I found this.”
Wooyoung grabbed the card, opening it, and read through the contents to himself. “This is just a warning. Give me what I need or I’ll take it the hard way. The longer you think about it the sooner your friends will be gone and you will have no one left, but me to turn to.... Sincerely, your lovingly father....”
Wooyoung felt a wave of anger go through him. His father was the cause of Chansung's accident. He glared at the red card and a flash of purple light caught onto the card, burning it into thin ashes. “Aish! I should've known. He even had that mark!”
Nichkhun stared at Wooyoung confused, who quickly rinsed himself off and hopped out of the tub. Nichkhun frowned. Something wasn't right. He wiped at his dried tears. "What's going on and why did you burn that?".
Wooyoung was boiling mad and he needed to see his father now. If he was going to continue to hurt his friends like this, then he may as well face him. Wooyoung looked at Keuyong, holding out his hand to him. Keuyoung got the hint and grabbed a towel, handing it to Wooyoung. Wooyoung dried himself off and Keuyoung helped him put on his clothes. Once full clothed, wearing a pair of blue jeans and a yellow T-shirt, Wooyoung turned toward Nichkhun. Nichkhun noticed that his eyes were a slight shade of purple.
Without hesitation, Wooyoung said two words that Nichkhun wasn't expecting. "I'm leaving."
