Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 “Day one...” Nichkhun mumbled as he sat on the living room couch in his black and red stripped boxers. It was already almost eleven-thirty and Victoria was gone to work. Luckily, he didn’t have to work today since he worked the weekend morning shift. He let out a lazy sigh and stood up, stretching his arms up in the air. He thought that his day off would give him peace of mind, but that argument yesterday with Woo was tormenting him. He didn’t want to hurt either one of them and he damn sure didn’t want Woo out of his life.
A frown played on his lips. “I need to get out. Staying here is making me think too much....”
He scratched at his naked side and slowly, waddle towards his bedroom to get clothes for a shower. Victoria wouldn’t be back until 6 so he had a long time to waste.
After the shower, Nichkhun made sure to brush his hair and teeth. He looked in the bathroom mirror, taking in his appearance. He was wearing a plain navy-blue hoodie with a dark, red strip going across the chest and black jeans. Underneath his hoodie was a plain dark, red shirt. As he was leaving, he made sure to grab his Ipod Touch and black earphones. He didn’t bother grabbing his car keys since he decided to walk, but he made sure he grab his house keys when he was slipping on his dark, red shoes, heading out the door.
Nichkhun made it to his determined destination, the amusement park. It was the right place to get his mind off of everything. He put in his earphones before heading in and turned on his Ipod touch. He walked towards the center of the amusement park, bopping his head a little to the beat of MBLAQ’s “Y”. He wasn’t surprised that there weren’t many people there, since it was a weekday. When he got there, he almost tripped himself from the view in front of him. Right in front of the little train station for children was an adorable yellow duck mascot. It was insanely cute and that was Nichkhun’s utmost weakness, cute things. He adored them to the point of buying plush toys. He kept them hidden from his guy friends and brought them out when he needed them the most. Victoria didn’t even know he had a collection of plush toys in their attic.
The duck mascot was handing out balloons at the exit gate so that when the kids got off the train they would receive a balloon. What Nichkhun liked the most was that the duck would waddle in place, left and right on its feet, and flapped its arms each time he handed out a balloon and each time the kids would smile brightly at the duck and thank him. Nichkhun just wanted to hug the duck from its cute act. He was so entranced at looking at the duck that he didn’t even notice that his feet had moved until the said duck, put a soft hand in his face. He pushed the hand out of his face and stared down at the big-eyed duck, taking out his earphones. The duck was a few inches shorter them him. The duck stepped back away from him. Nichkhun gave it a puzzled expression, wondering why it would do that.
Luckily, there were no kids coming to ride the train for now as they gave each other a stare down. Nichkhun wanted to hug it, but it didn’t seem like he was going to have the chance. He stuck a hand out in an attempt to grab one of the balloons. The duck retaliated and pull the ribbons of balloons out of his reach.
“Yah! I want one too!” Nichkhun yelled loud enough for the duck to hear him.
The duck put up its free hand in Nichkhun’s face, stopping Nichkhun from attempting to grab at the balloons again. It placed its fingers down, keeping one up and shook that finger side to side.
Nichkhun crossed his arms, seeing what the duck meant. “Why not?”
The duck turned around and pointed at the train, then the exit gate and then finally at the balloons it was holding. Nichkhun frowned. “I don’t wanna ride the train. Give me a balloon.”
The duck shook it’s head. Nichkhun uncrossed his arms and took a step towards the duck, grabbing on to its free hand, before the duck could get out of his reach. The duck panicked and tried to pull its hand out of Nichkhun’s but that only made Nichkhun grip tighter, who was loving the feel of the other person’s hand underneath the soft costume. After a few seconds, the duck gave up struggling and accepted its new found faith, Nichkhun smiled to himself at the success of capturing his new found plush.
He leaned down towards the duck, where he though its ears could be and whispered, “Now, if you want me to ride that train to get a balloon, you’re coming with me.”
The duck shoved the balloons in Nichkhun’s chest. Nichkhun smiled and pushed the balloons away. “Nope, it’s too late now.”
The duck tilted its head back, letting out a silent frustrated sigh. Nichkhun smiled. “Fine. I’ll let you go if you give me a hug.”
The duck stared at him. Nichkhun smiled more. “Oh, I’m serious.”
The duck turned away from him, and started pulling him towards the train, changing its mind instantly. Nichkhuun chuckle softly and pulled the duck hard back, making it fall forward into his chest. Nichkhun quickly wrapped his arms around the duck, loving the feel of its softness agaisnt his body. The duck didn’t even tried to move as it was hugged tighter and tighter. Nichkhun instantly realized that the person inside the duck suit wasn’t a girl and by the time the duck wrapped his arms around him, gripping on his jacket from behind as it pulled closer to him, Nichkhun knew who was inside the suit. Nichkhun pulled back some, keeping a hold around the duck. He had a huge smile on his face.
“So, Jay this is where you’ve been?”
The person pulled away from Nichkhun, looking around and then grab his hand, taking him towards the fountain that was near the little train station. He sat down on the bench and Nichkhun followed. The duck lifted his head off, showing a guy with a white sweatband wrapped around his forehead, which was keeping his hair and sweat out of his eyes. Nichkhun smiled. Jay didn’t changed much after college, and Nichkhun was glad about that. His hair was still black and looked like it once was standing up, but the sweat that was produce flattened the hair style.
Jay smiled awkwardly at Nichkhun still holding onto the balloons. “Yea, it’s just a side job for now.”
“It’s cute.”
Jay chuckled softly, letting out a soft sigh. “So why are you here?”
“What I can’t be here? If you don’t want anyone to know about your job, I’m not going to say anything.”
“No, no, it’s not like that. It’s just that I didn’t expect you to go here by yourself.”
Nichkhun raised an eyebrow at him. “Huh?”
“Wooyoung is usually always with you, so since he’s at work, I didn’t--”
“Wait, at work? Where does he work?” Nichkhun interrupted Jay.
Jay leaned forward. “Hold on. You don’t know where he works?”
Nichkhun shrugged his shoulders. “I never thought to ask.”
Jay shook his head softly. “Wow, that surprised me.”
“What do you mean?”
“You guys are like this,” Jay crossed his index and middle finger together. “I’m surprised you guys aren’t living together.”
Nichkhun chuckled and thought for a moment. Him and Wooyoung living together didn’t sound so bad.
“Anyways, Woo is doing what I’m doing, but now he’s on break so he should be walking around here in a panda suit.” Jay looked back at the train station, seeing the kids getting off. He put back on his duck head and stood up. “I gotta go. It was nice seeing you again Nichkhun.”
Jay got up and ran passed him, holding on to his balloons that he needed to give to the kids. Nichkhun watched him leave, having Wooyoung on his mind. He wondered if he should go look for him, but then he didn’t know what to say to him when he saw him. Should he tell him that he wanted to hang out with him so that they could talk or just hug him there and steal him from his job. The latter sounded more exciting to Nichkhun, but the former was better in reality. Nichkhun let out a sigh, making up his mind, and stood up from the bench to go look for his little panda.

After wondering around the amusement park for ten minutes, he found a panda, standing in line for the ferris wheels. The panda was the third person in line in front of at least ten people. He quickly ran up to it, ignoring the angry protests of other people he had pushed to get behind the panda. Nichkhun was glad he didn’t turned around to see what was going on, still that didn’t help his heart that was beating rapidly. He may had a calm exposure on the outside, but he was slightly freaking out on the inside. The person in the panda suit might not even be Woo and he would look like an idiot. Still, he made it this far, he may as well continue.
The first two people got in the basket as it came down, dropping off the four people that were already in there. It could hold four people at most. The operator made sure the door was shut and pulled the lever for the next one. As the next basket came around, the operator let the two people that was on it come out and opened the door for the next people. The panda stepped up and Nichkhun quickly pushed the panda into the carrier with him along with it. He shut the door.
“Okay, this is all!” Nichkhun shouted, allowing the operator to check the door and pulled the lever, lifting him and the panda up.
Nichkhun turned around and eyed the panda, who was still on the floor. He reached down to pick him up when he got an angry shove in response, hitting his back against the glass wall. The carrier rocked a little from the shift in weight.
“What the hell?” Nichkhun yelled.
The panda took off it’s head and Nichkhun was met with a very pissed off Wooyoung. “What the hell? I should be asking that! Why are you here and why did you just shoved me in here. I don’t want to be on this long ride with you!”
The carrier halted, allowing more people onto the ride. The force tilted Wooyoung towards Nichkhun. Nichkhun grabbed Wooyoung and sat down on the black bench, pulling Wooyoung with him. He held him in his arms, not allowing him to escape. Wooyoung struggled in his arms, yelling all sorts of curses at him, but Nichkhun ignored them. He knew how Wooyoung was when he was mad and he knew that he will end up submitting. Nichkhun prediction was right as Wooyoung gave up, letting out a frustrated sigh. Nichkhun gave him enough room to turn on his back as he leaned against him.
“Feel better?”
Wooyoung closed his eyes. “A little....”
Nichkhun smiled down at Wooyoung, enjoying the warmth from him. It was a little chilly outside and Wooyoung made him felt warmer. Still, just like Jay, Wooyoung had sweat soaked in his black hair, but he had a red sweat band that was wrapped around his forehead. Nichkhun lifted up an arm and rub the back of his hand on Wooyoung cheek, spotting sweat trailing down his face. Wooyoung popped open his eyes and looked up at him.
“What do you want?”
Nichkhun smiled. “Way too much.”
Wooyoung scoffed. “How did you find me here? If I remembered correctly I never told you where I work.”
“Oh, well a little duckie told me that there was a panda wondering around during break.”
Wooyoung frowned and looked down, glaring at the far glass wall. “I’ll get Jay for this.”
Nichkhun chuckle softly. “Ya, it’s not like what you think. I asked him about you.”
Wooyoung looked up at him again. “Oh, really now?”
“Yes, now let’s enjoy the rest of the ride.”
Wooyoung grunted a little, but didn’t say another word. The view was better to him anyway, then hearing Nichkhun’s irritating voice. Denial is a wonderful friend.
Nichkhun glanced outside the clear glass, seeing over the amusement park. He looked around till he spotted a yellow duck running after a kid, who was caring a bunch of balloons. Nichkhun laughed a little. Jay seemed like he was having fun. Nichkhun looked up and saw that the sky was cloudless and deep baby blue. He was about to comment on it when Wooyoung spoked up.
“The sky is really pretty today.”
Nichkhun looked down at Wooyoung who stared back up at him. Nichkhun smiled. “Hmm, I know something else that looks pretty today.”
Wooyoung rolled his eyes and looked towards the other side of the carrier, finding the empty bench entertaining. Nichkhun laughed softly and leaned down and placed a kiss on Wooyoung’s forehead. Wooyoung froze and stopped breathing for a moment. He looked up at Nichkhun, who was reaching over him for the panda head that laid on the floor. He wanted to hit Nichkhun hard in the face and throw him out the door. How dare he kissed him. Okay not the latter but definitely the former. Before he could even open his mouth to protest, Nichkhun slipped the panda head on him. He then released him from his hold and stood up, grabbing Wooyoung’s hand.
He did a quick look over Wooyoung to make sure his suit was in order and waited for the basket underneath them to unload. Wooyoung didn’t even know that they were already through with the ride as he stood there in shock. He looked over at Nichkhun and saw him staring out at the door. Nichkhun looked over at Wooyoung, feeling him staring at him.
“Hmm?”
Wooyoung shook his head and looked the other way. Nichkhun chuckle and knocked on his panda head. Wooyoung turned to look back over and Nichkhun leaned down and kissed the panda lips. Wooyoung just stood there frozen, until Nichkhun leaned back up and started pulling him out the door. It made had been an indirect kissed. but that didn’t stop Wooyoung from attaining a blush on his chubby cheeks. As they walked, he looked down at the clasped hand in his and then at the person that owned it. He just didn’t understand him at all. Once they passed the water fountain and train station, heading towards the exit, Wooyoung stopped in his tracks, pulling Nichkhun back with a jolt.
Nichkhun looked at him. “Come on.”
“Where are you taking me?”
Nichkhun thought a moment. Where was he taking him? He didn’t know. He just wanted him to be with him. He really didn’t think much on it.
“Um, with me? Aren’t you hungry? Let’s go eat.”
Wooyoung removed his hands from his. “No. My break is almost over and I need to get back. Unlike you, I don’t have the luxury to skip work.”
“I’m not skipping work. I did overtime last weekend to get today off. Come on Woo. Come with me. I know you’re hungry. Well, how about getting ice cream? The ice cream shop is like a block away. I’ll get you back in time.”
Wooyoung ears perked up. He cursed the fact that Nichkhun knew his obsession with ice cream. It was just only a block away and he doubted that he was going to be there long.
“What time is it?”
Nichkhun pulled out his Ipod. “1:20.”
Wooyoung pouted. “Maybe another time. I gotta go back to work in ten minutes.”
Nichkhun stared down at the pouting Panda. “When do you get off work.”
“Eh?” Wooyoung said not sure of what he had heard.
“Nichkhun knocked on his head and smiled. “When do you get off work?”
“Um, five.”
“Then I’ll come back and get you at five.” Nichkhun said as he lifted off the panda head just enough to peck Wooyoung on the cheek.
He put the panda head back on his and started to walk away, walking backwards. “And don’t try to get out of it by going home early. I know where you live.”
Wooyoung puffed his cheeks and threw a fist in the air at him. “Six more days, Holvejkul!”
Nichkhun just smiled at him and turned back around, heading out the amusement park. He had a few things to get in order for Wooyoung. Victoria should be fine if he’s a little late when she gets home.
