Windshield at 80 mph + piece of tire = over $200 out of my pocket

So, yesterday I was helping to move my niece to college, part of a three car caravan so to speak, and on this freeway, I ended up being the last car. Anyway, I was in the second to the left lane (four lanes at this point) behind this other car (because I did not like going over 80 mph in a 70 zone to keep up with everyone) when all of a sudden, the car front of me kick up a piece of a blown tire and it hit my windshield.

I managed to get to the right shoulder so I can call the police and all that. No one was hurt.

Didn't even make it out of Michigan (niece is going to college in Ohio)

Anyway, we pack all her stuff in my car into the other two cars, and my mom and younger niece (I have two) went with my sister and everyone else, and I rode with my niece's father to the auto shop the tow truck took my car to. Once they had the paper work all done to start working on it, went to Ohio, help niece, came back, picked up my car, and came home.
