Thursday was D-day because of the exam screening. I went there a tad earlier to photocopy some texts for my precious class-mates: and by that time I've found out that many of them already had the Craig-essay. But finally, they turned out to be pretty grateful: they didn't have the Kleist essay, yay. And I earned some A's in the morning as well: soc & ec., cinematography, directing, literature and dram. history are finished.
Mr.Báron didn't show up - that's a bad sign. He was mad at us anyway, so it's rather not surprising. And the film theory teacher - gwah, he doesn't answer the phone-calls, doesn't reply to e-mails - on Friday I've seen him at a certain bus-stop from the car. What was he doing then on Thursday?! We don't even know when he wants us to take his exam. So it was a rather intimate situation with a few guests. The dean was absent as well, for example.
And our teachers pretty much liked us: as children and as "colleagues" - but this is a tad strong of an expression. I was finally satisfied with the film despite of smaller changes, it became a professional piece of work, so I'm happy with that. Considering the extremely low budget (0 HUF, you remember), the huge staff we had to move, the disorganized shooting. And, surprisingly, the most extreme sketches got the worst opinions and criticism, and my gosuroriish Shirley Temple-inspired work was praised particularly - Ms.Schulze seemed happy with it, too, so it turned out fairly positive in the end.
Plus, surprisingly enough, the chairs in the screening-room had been changed to supa-comfy armchairs. What does that mean? No more uncomfortable winter-classes, when on has to put the fur-coat behind his/her back to get some warmth and comfort.
Being less involved in the witty conversation then on the fifth I wrote my Nihongo homework then went to the class with Sachiko-san. I talked with her about the exams as well, as she seems to be always confident about my skills, and...yes, it's a lot. Are 2 classes/week enough? Financially: yes and these days anyway and definitely enough. I don't even have the time to write homework...but studiyng Japanese should have a higher priority. I don't know. I only know about the 2 years, the book I would like to write...
And then I spent Friday with S. and slept. Actually, the most hilarious and embarrassing sleeping-incident did happen to me on Thursday, when I told my fiancé to watch East Is East, a movie we both appreciated, but never saw the entire piece. The film started, I curled up on the bed and fell asleep immediately. S. watched the film realizing, that I woke up 2-3 times to look around, and once he allegedly asked me whether I wanted to sleep, which question was answered with a harsh 'NO!' then fell asleep again. What?! I slept so deeply I could not realize anything going on? The next thing I remember was Friday morning 11 AM when I woke up the next time. Then fell asleep again in the afternoon, then in the evening while reading, then this morning again when I was reading. This is so impossible.
Something entirely different in the end: I got work until the 30th. There's a German literary who's who to be translated. It doesn't pay particularly well, but it pays, it's not as difficult and a great help for a seriously ill lady, who's a friend of J's mother. I'll pick up the material at her flat tomorrow in the evening, and she even promised a large variety of authors biographies to choose from.
And still 2 more papers (one of them will be written until tomorrow noon) and 2 more exams.
