A hell lot of things have happened since my last post!
First of all, we can possibly move in before I leave for Germany, because the seller got the papers needed from various offices stating clearly that the mortgage was payed back properly, so there's no more loan on the flat.
We plan to paint the bedroom to a weird but very calming solid raspberry color covered with the infamous Tikkurila Taika silver glaze. I'd like the door- and window frames to be painted with an elegant silky lacquer instead of the good old white furniture paint.
I still need to call the electrician to inquire about the needed changes, and the carpenter too, to inquire about costs and time of the smaller repairments. We can assemble a nifty sliding door for the wardrobe, and basically that's it, everything else seems to be nice and proper and convenient.
As for the university, my script came in 2nd at the voting for the possible episodes of Dekameron2007. This makes me very happy, but there's a tiny little problem besides that: just as I thought P. selected my work as her 1st choice, and as JP doesn't want to direct this year, P. will realize my plans. P-the only member of our class with whom I'm barely able to collaborate. But I tooks the risks saying, I can endure the process being 1110 km away. And it feels kinda positive now, altough she's really pushy and began to rewrite and re-conceptualize the entire script not being able to grasp my principles. Anyway, there are very good ideas of hers in it, so I hope we can compromise.
B"H I also came in 2nd at the Filminstitute essay contest with my article "Everybody's Idill" about Ridley Scott's A Good Year. It turned out to be surprisingly unique among the other prize-winning essays, but perhaps it became a lot more personal than expected, but hey, that's what you get if you operate with vague terms. Sometime in the future they will pay me my prize in hard cash, and IYH I can write for them if they'll eventually turn up.
Úgyhogy most mindenki menjen és vegyen Musztert kemény 195HUF-ért, vagy requesteljen nálam, szívesen el is küldöm érdeklődés esetén.
And the bestest news is that the money and the seals I left on the desk yesterday were intact in the morning when I called. By then I got my EHIC card, so it's good news in so many different ways: I was able to call early, because I got my EU health insurance card in about 5 minutes early morning, plus the lovely colleague who jumped in for me absolutely knew what I was talking about, and I won't be accused with theft innocently.
Anyway, such a huge mistake is a turning point for sure, and I came to the conclusion that I don't wish to do this kind of work anymore. If I come home from Germany to graduate, I'd like something more profession-related, more decent. It's simply insane that I'm required to the job of 2, without even minor failures after a single day. It's alright to a certain degree, because I get paid for doing exactly this with the right skills. But after 2 years I think I need the change. I can find decent office-style jobs at media agencies for example, if nothing so truly madly creative would happen to find me.
And finally, about my finals: I finished them quickly, with huge success. I got fast and enthralled replies from Kéri and Janisch, so now I'm satisfied. My GPA is 4,9 again, high enough to brag about.
My only problem for today is that I don't really know what I'm going to have for dinner, as I'll have to meet my Mom after work and have gazillions of things to do....pfff.
