Twelve Grimmauld Place was home to some...well, interesting objects. At least, it seemed that way to Hermione as she found herself wandering through one of the house's various rooms. She had grown mentally exhausted from harping on recent events and crying about Ron's imprisonment, so she really needed SOMETHING to distract her

..Tonks tripped in the stretch of hall just in front of her and spectacularly fell over. She was on her bloody lunch break and it only took her a few seconds to get to Grimmauld Place by Apparation but already she was tumbling around.

Getting up and retrieving her pride from where it was cowering in the corner, Tonks smiled at Hermione. "Wotcher, Hermione."

Seeing Tonks nearly put her over the edge...

Trying to fight back tears, she replied with a watery smile, "Hey Tonks... How.. How's Ronald?"

Tonks' smile vanished almost immediately. She'd been on guard duty over the holding cell for an hour in the early morning and though she wasn't allowed to talk to him and he had probably been asleep, she had to fight the urge to leap through the door and let him out.

Her hair drooped slightly at this thought. "He's - he's holding up pretty well," she said, in the most comforting voice she could muster. "We know he's innocent, so I don't think they can really get him in much trouble. I don't know how much longer the Ministry will have to hold him, though..." she trailed off here, and had to add forcefully, "but hopefully not too much longer."

She nodded, her strongest nod. Hermione cleared her voice lightly, and then smiled again. "So, what brings you here?"

[clumsymorphing]

"Oh, nothing really," Tonks said, the familiar impish smile back on her face. "Just checking up on Sirius, really. How are you doing?"

[mione_says]

"Holding up..." she changed her mind half way through the thought. "Well, I'm better than I was," she admitted quietly. "Sirius is a few rooms down though. I think I heard him yelling at Kreacher."

[clumsymorphing]

Tonks shook her head. "Nothing out of the ordinary for him, then," she said wryly.

Hermione shook her head, sighing with a slightly annoyed tone. "If he would just be nice to Kreacher, and treat him with a bit of respect, Kreacher would return the favor!"

[clumsymorphing]

"You should start up a cause," Tonks said, really quite amused. She'd never really liked Kreacher either, but that was probably because he called her a shapeshifting demon and the evil spawn of a blood traitor.

[mione_says]

"Oh I did once," Hermione practically waved her off, blushing a bit. "When you're watching Ron, he can tell you all about it." She couldn't help but blame Tonks a bit for her loss of Ron.

[clumsymorphing]

"Well, I - he - we can't really do that," Tonks muttered, the last bit trailing under her breath, but offered a smile. "I'll have to ask him once he's been released."

[mione_says]

"Once he's been released?" Hermione read into her words, "You mean that you expect him to be released soon?" Her voice was only slightly more excited, because she was smart enough to know she was being way too hopeful.

[clumsymorphing]

Tonks frowned slightly, tugging out of habit on a lock of violet hair and quickly morphing a violent shade of fuschia. "They really can't possibly hold him for questioning much longer - a few more days, at the most."

Hermione nodded, still looking intently at Tonks. "Alright, I guess that's good news then," she replied reluctantly.

[clumsymorphing]

She nodded. "So, um, I'm going to go and rummage in the pantry," she said, pointing backwards with a bit of a grin. "See if there's anything in there Molly left from yesterday."

Hermione nodded, "Alright, make sure you say good-bye."
