The spirit of mutual aid and individual goodwill is a welcome antidote to the largely anonymous nature of contemporary designing and publishing. Also, the fact that public support is still available for such an obviously uncommercial activity should be a sign of hope in this increasingly market-driven world. Still, these are fragile foundations, so it's not necessarily a happy state of affairs.
