Weekend Plans and Making stuffs

I had a super busy but productive weekend. Friday night my rubber arm was twisted and I ended up out with philomenaobence at a mutual friends birthday party. We were at a SUPER SCARY karaokee bar, which I will not be upset if I never step foot in again. The drinks were tastey though and the company couldn't be beat.

Saturday was spent with Thuk & Wilma doing a FULL inventory of the contents of the Baronial Storage locker. My GODS we have a lot of shit that will just never be used. What the hell do we need 243 bear bells on red velcro straps for?! There was a lot of good natured bickering, and some not so good natured snarking. In the end, there was more laughing then grumping and we have a FULL inventory of the locker now. I have to type it all up and categorize it properly still though. That'll be a job for this weekend. We went on a farmers market tour, with some awesome success and not so awesome disappointments. The new Kingsland Farmers Market was a great time! So many vendors selling EXACTLY what I need to eat better: single portion frozen meals prepared FRESH and HEALTHY!. I got a frozen 8" pizza for $8 with whole wheat crust, gouda cheese, parsley and tomatoes. No preservatives! I also got some lemonade mix with fresh berries in it and 2 tubs (2 meals each tub) of various east indian dishes. I only bought veggies grown within 200kms of Calgary. I am ubber pleased with myself! Trying to cut down on my sodium intake is harder then I thought it would be. Kingsland market makes it much easier. We hit the Crossroads market next, where I found to my dismay that its more a flea market then a farmers market. FYI, going to a flea market with a pair of hoarders is a BAD IDEA! That evening we all went to garething's for dinner and received the big news with his close friends. Garething is moving to vancouver and will be dearly missed.

Sunday was regional fight practice, and it was KICK ASS!. I traveled with Bryjna, Kirk, Wilma and the kiddlets. I brought my sword and shield and some sewing projects. I did about 10 minutes of sewing then jumped on the pell for 2.5 hours.... that was a lot of pell work!!! Got some good, and some not so good tips from people wandering by. I made a mental break through on a basic swing, which really just served to stoke the fire under my ass higher to get into armour. After fight, I injected myself into Kirk's garage where he was working on his shield. I actually had got to use power tools all by myself!!! My shield is cut, has holes in all the right places for the strapping and is covered in fabric waiting to be painted. Yaa! I like this game! K&B fed me and took me home about 4 hours later then I was expecting to get back from Red Deer, but it was a good reason anyway.

All in all, a great franticly busy weekend. I looked at my calendar for the next 3 months, and I have all of 4 weekends free of events/obligations. Really, I thought my life was supposed to slow down after K&B stepped down!!

Sheesh!

(and loving every moment of it!)
