Its been pointed out I am not focusing much on A&S lately, which is totally true. That combined with the fact I have shrunk both of my most wearable dresses in the past month, I am going to be putting together 2 more gowns and document them. They will both be Kampfrau dresses in the same style so I am going to focus on documenting the process and getting into detail with the materials used.
I have a navy blue suite weight merino wool at home. I seem to remember it being 100% Wool but I will burn test and document it. It will be a "cold weather" gown with lace on sleeves. The guards will be red something, I dont know if I want to use the velvet I have from a dress I never finished, red linen or pick up some red silk. I guess I could look for some red wool as well. Either way, the guards are one of the last steps and it doesn't need to be decided now.
I also have a forest green silk at home. I am not sure I have enough to make an entire dress (4 meters?-ish) but I have 10 yards of a matching green linen... now that I type this, I think I will make the dress out of yellow linen (must pre-wash) and trim it in the green silk! That will be a good contrast. That will leave me the green linen to make another gown.
