So, along the same lines as
soaringdragon42's post, I got offered a management position at the movie theater. As excited as I was when Mr. Vattimo told me, I'm a little more reserved now. I want to take the job, I do. More money, more hours (A LOT) but a lot more responsibility and more late nights (I've heard horror stories of being there until 6 am. I have class at either 11 or noon. not always a good thing). Also, I worry that some of my co-workers now will not be as good of friends when I become manager. I love the people I work with to death and so I really don't want to lose them as friends. I can talk with most of them about their problems, but I worry that I'll loose that connection with them if I become a manager. I know how most people view managers. :-/ So I really don't know. Most people have told me to take it. It looks great on a resume... (duh) and I really shouldn't let friends hold me back at jobs but these are some of the greatest people I've meet. I don't want to loose that. That and its such a joy to work in the concession area and with the ushers. I know I'll really miss that.

I've thought about talking to Mr. V and telling him that this just isn't a good time for me to try for management. There are so many other people who have worked at the theater longer that would do such a better job. That and I'd been planning on applying for management in August. So this pushing things forward a lot. I don't know what to do. Thoughts, comments? Any? please?
