Fitness Feb : Day Two

Feb 02, 2009 10:59

It’s Fitness February, day 2. Monday February second

The goal of Fitness February is as follows.

  1. Do something physical every single day in February.
  2. Complete a cleanse and settle back into good eating habits
  3. Monitor what I eat
  4. Increase my water consumption
  5. Clear my head and regain my drive

Cleanse Rules

No dairy

No bread products

No alcohol

No caffeine

No foreign fruits

No SUGAR

Yesterday was DAY ONE, as well as cleanse day one.

I ate a bowl of plain ass oats with soymilk and raspberries.

A glass of carrot and ginger juice (homemade)

I fell down a flight of stairs. It’s surprising that that was the first time I ever feel down that staircase. This is why socks are bad, and bare feet are good.

I did 90 minutes of bikhram yang yoga, which is less work intensive than regular bikram. It’s mostly just holding posses for minutes at a time. Didn’t really feel too much then, but felt it this morning when I woke up. Along with a purple hip, from falling down those stairs.

A glass of beet, raspberry and apple juice and a spicy tomato spinach soup at Fresh

Then steamed tilapia over chard, peppers, onions, garlic and tomato

Then I had a handful of M&Ms… and a green tea kit kat. So maybe I won’t count yesterday as cleanse day one. We’ll OFFICIALLY start today.

I painted my toenails red, because I’m sick of looking at ugly toes when I’m all bent over and sweaty.

I lined my underwear and sock drawers with white January Stendig calendar paper, and the top drawer of my desk with black Stendig paper, but it didn’t work out as well. I should have bought double sided tape.

This morning I woke up at 6am and Kevin pushed me out of bed, walked me to the washroom, zipped up my parka and walked me to the streetcar stop.

I started my 20$ week at Moksha yoga. As intended. Yeah!

Moksha seems so much harder than Bikram. It’s faster paced, there are no 2 sets of anything, and no rests. I found myself really out of breath, and I only really made it through half of the class. BUT I made it to the class.

On the plus side, I really enjoyed the sun salutations part.

Hopefully it will get easier with practice. I’m glad I’m doing this first week before the 30 day challenge starts on feb 14th.

Tonight I’d like to shave my legs

I’d also like to do my felt project, but I don’t think I’ll get to an art store in time to get felt before I get home

I have this idea, based on the concept of ‘waiting until you’re married’

It’s a diet where one because a food virgin, and vows to remain sweet celibate until their wedding.

“The next sweet thing to touch my lips will be my wedding cake”.

This may be easier to achieve if I was engaged, or had some end date in sight.

But, I suppose that’s counter intuitive tot his idea.

If only I could associate the same type of guilt generated by ‘cheating’ to the eating of pie.

I will weight myself today.

I may go work out after work.

I will check back in with what I eat today.

And I will drink more water.
