night walk

It was very dark and I was walking through fog deep with frog serenades, suddenly quite in tune with nature, which I love. The deep dankness of this particular night was punctuated with cricket songs and the occasional smattering of fireflies; their lights illuminating hidden forest paths and tree trunks and... dare I guess it was a fox that went running across the way, his ears quite large and catlike but body too long and sleek and tail too bushy to be either domestic cat or dog. You could hear him trickling through the underbrush at times, no doubt in search for some fine snails lured out of hiding by the wet atmosphere that embraced their skin and whispered promises of snail prosperity and moisture.

So here I am at home, the modernity of being behind walls about as impressive of what all this humidity has done to my hair... Not a good thing, friends.
