Dear Eric:
Congratulations! I am delighted to inform you that you have been admitted to the 243rd class to enter The College of Brown University. The Board was charmed by the insight and whimsy of your essay, Eric. Impressive, too, was your academic record and list of diverse activities from technology to theater.
Wow... They actually customized my acceptance letter. I really am considering Brown. Both schools are really extraordinary, but I have to choose.
Brown -- The innovative Ivy League school with new ideas and approaches to learning.
MIT -- The school that's so proud of it's reputation of being tough that during Campus Preview Weekend admitted students are heckled by undergrads.
When I was younger I always knew I'd be at one of these top-notch schools, but that certainty dwindled as high school progressed.
Now, I just gotta pay for it. Unfortunately, I haven't received any letters that say "Congratulations, Eric. Here's a bajillion dollars for your education," but that's my next goal.
See you guys in Providence or Cambridge!
