As a couple of you know, my wife and I just got a new kitten from my mom. My mom breeds siamese cats, and we adopted one of her "defective" cats. Took me a long minute. Boys. So scatalogical.

You know, one of my mother's friends had a Yorkie who decided that suicide attempts were The Only Option when his owners brought home their first newborn. He moped around for awhile, all passive-aggressive, waited until he had my mom's friend's attention, then flopped down with a sigh and stopped breathing.

She gave him mouth-to-muzzle resuscitation, then took him to a pet psychologist.

Nice. At least in this instance the dog is fine. She has adapted very well to her role as Omega, this is just one more layer in the pecking order atop her. Elizabeth, on the other hand...

She won't suicide, though. She's too stubborn for that. She wants us to know how miserable she is for a very long time.
