The best laid plans

...of mice and men often go awry.

So, as most of you know, they're building me a house. THAT is a whole other journal entry (the recent delays and frustrations thereof). What I'm blogging about right now is the upcoming move.

So, back when I was in my old house, we had this room in the basement. It served no purpose, it was just an old musty room (coal room, probably). In it I stored boxes. Why boxes? Because, I knew that we would not live there forever, and moving meant boxes. Big boxes, little boxes, boxes boxes boxes. So, I stored them.

Time went by, house got sold, and it came time to move. Wife had purchased a bunch of tupperware tubs at an admittedly great deal from Odd Lots, and we used those to move, since we did not do everything on one day (had about a month of to-ing and fro-ing due to the need to do pre-sale repairs, etc). This made for a very liesurely move, but it raised a question: what to do with all of these boxes?

My solution: stack them up in the back corner of the apartment's garage, for the future move out of the apartment.

Wife's solution: take them to recycling and be done with them you silly man, they take up too much space.

Wife won.

So, no that we're staring down the barrel of another (final!) move, what did I just spend $50 buying at a local wholesaler?

Boxes.

Le sigh.

Also, Duinlas, can you do me a fave? See attached reply.
