Productive week / Unproductive evening

I've proved myself wrong again and managed to remain quite active over the weekends... shortly after my last post, Judith rang me and asked if I wanted to come over for a gig in her room - thinking of some kind of kinky metaphore, I was naturally surprised to find out that she really did mean a gig in her room. There were a bunch of guys from all round the US that brought their guitars etc. and performed for us. I don't even remember the Sunday.

My mum came to London this time last week and bought me dinner and then it was back to Jude's on Thursday to properly discuss doing music. Although I can't be bothered to go into the details, it seems like I was actually on the right track all along, although we still need to define our sound, I have a much better idea now.

Low and behold then, that since the last meeting, I haven't been able to write a damn thing. A couple of weeks ago, I was writing a new beat or song idea every day and stopped at my 14th track. Most of the ideas were shit, but a few that I'm quite keen about... but now I have so much to do, I can't focus on doing those tracks at the moment. I need to do some soundtrack stuff for a friend, complete Alan's EP (hopefully for May/June) and not forgetting the animation with Francesca, that I haven't actually made a proper start on.

I thought this weekend I'd get on it, proper. But then the sun came out... fucking beautiful sun!! So you can imagine I was out in the garden instead, drinking Magners and ice, snorting lines kindly provided by my drug-addict housemate. I then watched two films about pregnancy - Knocked Up and Juno. Both were excellent, although Juno was really the winner for this weekend's viewing.

Frustration - I've ended up doing nothing tonight and I promised myself I would. Most likely means I need to stop attempting to write music for a few days again until I have patience and motivation to do it properly once more. I can't decide if I love or hate NIN's new single... that doesn't help.

On a totally different note http://forums.gametrailers.com/showthread.php?t=385071 - cream yourselves over that until it's officially released on Sunday
