So, there I was contemplating the easiest way to decode (as a non-keyer) the single-frequency pattern, reminiscent of Morse Code, hiding from time to time in the background noise of the Evanescence song My Immortal. I don't quite understand what you're talking about but it sounds interesting. Are you trying to find the period of some repetition?

Also, unrelated question -- Does Eagle (or any other PCB tool you know of) allow spirals as primitives? If not, do you know of any way of creating one for a PCB layout? If there's some easy text based interchange format, I could write my own in Matlab using many rectangular primitives, then import them to Protel.

nevermind -- I figured out how to do it. Turns out Gerber is a text format.
