I don't quite understand what you're talking about but it sounds interesting. Are you trying to find the period of some repetition?

Also, unrelated question -- Does Eagle (or any other PCB tool you know of) allow spirals as primitives? If not, do you know of any way of creating one for a PCB layout? If there's some easy text based interchange format, I could write my own in Matlab using many rectangular primitives, then import them to Protel.
