PROLOGUE

The morning felt like any other. Cool breeze pushed away the light curtains, sending it to dance gracefully along the melody of nature. Soft rays made its way through the tall windows and landed enchantingly on her face, causing subtle warmth to caress her skin. Each of her beautiful features were highlighted by the morning sun while she stirs lightly in her sleep.

She was having a peculiar dream. Once in a while, her brows would tighten and her nose slightly crunched and it would loosen a moment after, as if nothing happened. Her breathing was calm, yet her chest heaved irregularly.

It was the weirdest dream she ever had.

Right across from the bed, another figure was also deep asleep despite the heat that is slowly flowing into the room. It was a man, a very handsome man indeed. His tuxedo was left forgotten on the edge of the sofa where he’s sleeping on, his white shirt left unbuttoned revealing a line of his skin and he still had his shoes on. It looked as if he has had a very long day and he was thoroughly exhausted that he couldn’t even make it to the bed for a good night’s rest.

Who wouldn’t be, when he was forced to marry in such a short notice?

Nobody dared to bother this newlywed on the morning after their supposed-to-be-magical first night. Even as the sun reached its topmost peak in the sky, these two figures seemed to still be in a deep slumber. Or rather, none of them dared to wake up and face the other to be reminded that they are now related, as husband and wife. They wanted to remain in their own worlds just a little bit longer.

Finally, from under the heavy blankets, she couldn’t stand to pretend anymore. Every time she closes her eyes again, the same dream would enter her sleep. Or is she really asleep when she had the dream? Slowly, she opened her eyes and it was immediately greeted by the sight of the handsome man, her husband. She kept her vision upon him as her lips formed a slight frown. It wasn’t a dream after all…

It’s not that she didn’t like being married to a hot superstar. It was every girl’s secret wish! But she still has personal plans to fulfil, and she had always wished for a romantic relationship to develop before actually marrying anybody.

All her youth’s daydreams had been crushed in less than a week, which is also the length provided for her and Shim Changmin to prepare for their sudden wedding.

She wanted to let out a lungful of breath, but she was afraid that her heavy sigh might wake him up. Instead, she suppressed her disappointment and ignored the burden she felt in her chest. She lifted the heavy blanket carefully from herself and silently climbed to the edge of the king-sized bed.

At least this Changmin guy was considerate enough to offer her the bed while he himself willingly took the sofa. Well, the sofa didn’t look that bad after all.

Her arms reached outwards as she stretched her stiff muscles, all the time careful not to make any sound. She then brought one of her hands to her eyes and started to rub it, her lips curled to the sensation.

Suddenly, the figure on the sofa stirred.

And her body stiffened.
