First. The Iron Giant is going there on my list of Top 5 Animated movies of all time. There is no doubt about that. The ending brought a single manly tear to my eye (actually I was crying my eyes out but let's not go there).
Titan A.E. was a disappointment. There were about a million recycled scifi plots just pushed together. The characterization (and character interactions and motivations) is rather bad, and the animation, while ambitious and super detailed, feels flat (that could be because they were trying to animate space scenes and maybe I'm spoiled by high-budget animation, but I'm not feeling charitable atm). Also. Dmitri. ;_;
The Road to El Dorado is that old gem I wasn't expecting to find. The opening fencing scene had me absolutely hooked, the animation (especially on the Mayan Girl Chel) is absolutely gorgeous, and can we say bromance? This one was right up my alley and I can't believe I waited until now to watch it.
