snow is blah blah
Hung out with Heather B on 12/23. we took a long walk around Sloan's Lake with her dog Stanley. she made me walk at a brisk pace! then we had delicious Thai food after. it was really good to talk with her. we were supposed to get together again, but the weather isn't cooperating, and she's leaving soon for crested butte.
on christmas eve day, it was about 50 degrees, sunny, felt really warm. John and I took a nice walk in Clear Creek Greenbelt park.
it was snowing A LOT on xmas. we didn't go out at all. except i took out the trash & recycling and shoveled the front steps. the snow was 6 inches deep and fluffy and light.
i actually cooked! i made scrambled eggs w/ milk and butter and homemade hashbrowns with olive oil. everything was organic of course. and John really liked the potatoes! i'm so glad. i never ever cook. it made me feel very productive and i'm glad John could eat some of the food i made. i also had delicious hot chocolate.
then on wed, 12/26, which was yesterday, the sun came out, the roads were pretty clear. i volunteered at the harm reduction center, and we ran errands.
today it's snowing like crazy again. i wish i could live in a place like san diego where the weather was temperate and sunny all year around. i'd like to swim in a pool every day. i'm not a winter wonderland kind of person.
happily, i've gotten to talk with John Haffner twice! we never get to talk. i really want to go visit him in new york.
i'm looking forward to hanging out at Ben & Monika's on friday. With Jennifer, Preston, Tony, and Darrell. it's always good to see them, lots of laughter! wish Mike & Irene could be there, too.
i stay up til midnight mon thru friday so that i can watch EastEnders. i'm hooked! i wish it were on earlier.
