Some websites and articles I find really useful:

Typetester: Test and compare fonts, easily customise the size and environment. Also separates fonts by 'safe' for all computers, and each systems defaults.

CSS2 Reference: A list of CSS properties and values, with descriptions. Very useful for beginners to CSS.

Efficient CSS with shorthand properties: A great article on using shorthand CSS, how to combine properties.

Fonts for web design: a primer: Interesting info about fonts, and advice for which to use in different ways.

CSS Font-Size: em vs. px vs. pt vs. percent: Great info on font sizing.

Online Colour Scheme Generator: You can set the hex or RGB, and it will produce a scheme, which you can lighten and darken also.
