As to computer problems~
the laptop is fucked.
Basically it needs to be completely restored by the installation cd that came with it, well.... I NEVER GOT ONE.
So until then, Jesse decided to lend me a Toughbook, and possibly buy it if I like it enough.
It runs XP and it's got decent speed for being almost 10 years old. It's thick, and the keyboard feels like an odd plaything, but I kinda like it. The screen is daylight viewable, which means theres a silvery underside to it, and mutes out colors, thats probably the only thing I dun like about it from initial dicking around with it. :3
So yup, no more IM'ing on my ipod! (major pain in the ass, but it had to be done~)
