sun, sand, surf, and tin

when i was a kid, i was really a water baby. i could stay in the water the whole day and still wish i could stay a little bit more. during my adolescent years, i decided that i hate salt water because it hurts my eyes. i would only swim in pools, where no sand gets in places it shouldn't be and the chlorine doesn't hurt as much.

the summer after my senior year of college, i went to boracay for the first time (yeah. loser. i know.). still, it was a great experience. i learned to love the water again! and my eyes don't really hurt that badly, too!

during those 10 blissful days, i had no allergies, the cold i had went away and never came back, and i woke up early (around 7-8am). for people who know me, it might seem nothing short of a miracle. me, the queen of allergies and the chronic insomniac.

i met a lot people--some i didn't like, some i did. i skimboarded, snorkeled, had sunset cocktails and drinking binges (oh, so that's where my money went!).

it was one of the few times in my life that i felt that i was really living in the moment. for the moment.
