I got a job is with Campus Dining Services, in their shiniest, newest dining hall. It's not bad, and they don't treat their employees like children *ahem*Kroger
..but- I was serving lunch the other day, and this (sorority) girl cam bounding up and asked me what was at my station, which isn't an entirely strange request, except:
1. She had to have passed by the cash register on the way in, where there is a menu and sample plates.
2. Right freaking in front of me is another sample plate and the food being served. psh whatev (as Tony says)

I'm sick right now. I came down with it Wednesday night/Thursday morning at some time. I finally realized it in French Thursday afternoon. That was lucky, since Thursday night was the (University) Orchestra concert- Rossini's Die Diebische Elster and Brahms 4. Even though I could barely breath, it hurt to swallow, my head being in a fog, and I couldn't hear very well... I probably played Brahms 4 the best I ever have (excepting having to break up certain passages for breaths). Emily also played well, although I can't say the same for the other 3 horns- one of which just didn't show up. wtf! As our assistant conductor said, he'd better be in the hospital or worse, or he's in deep shit with the School of Music.
End on a happy note? alright..hmm well, I'm getting paid $40 on Sunday to play 5 minutes at a cute little church downtown, I guess that's pretty sweet.
