fangirl flailing of epic proportions ♥
well, I've finally gone off the deep end. I'm completely obsessed... with American Idol. ;_; whyyyyyyyyyyyyy?!?!
ok, I have to preface this all by saying - I have never watched American Idol ever, I refuse. Apparently, this is season 8, but I've never watched it before, couldn't tell you who won the first 7 times or anything... I've seen the intermittent humiliating clips of people giving horrific auditions & Simon being a bastard, but other than that I've pretty much avoided it.
that said... OMG! *fangirl flail* XD so, a couple weeks ago, my mom was watching TV & one of the audition shows was on for the new season (how many weeks of auditions do they air anyway?) & I was just like, oh, cool, San Francisco... but other than that, whatever. then. then Adam Lambert came on... & it began. I basically went, oh, hello there, really hot guy... I'll just watch this one tiny part... hopefully he doesn't suck. well, he doesn't suck, in fact he's AMAZING! seriously, the guy has the greatest voice, & apparently he was in the touring cast of Wicked (love!) & he was the understudy for Fiyero. understudy? umm, who was the regular guy then? ... anyway.
I just happened to see his audition & he was awesome & then I somehow managed to catch his performance during "hollywood week", just randomly flipping through the channels, what luck, yay! & he came on & said he was going to sing Believe by Cher. I physically cringed. so, I'm going oh, please don't look ridiculous you're too pretty! & get torn apart by Simon... well, what do you know? it was absolutely brilliant! the boy can sing, like whoa. ♥
now, there's last night. I happened to be home & turned on the TV at 9 so I could watch Fringe... & Fringe was not there. bastards! it was in the middle of a 2 hour American Idol ... but then I realized he was there, he made it to the top 13. woohoo! & it was Michael Jackson night... ugh. so, I sat through a few very very painful performances (read: Anoop's Beat It & Meagan's Rockin Robin... **shudder**) & then Adam came on... & did Black or White - aka Michael Jackson's best song - & he rocked it! I mean, brought down the house, blew everyone else away, absolutely rocked it - it was amazing! he totally comes off like he's been doing this for years & the judges said as much too, Simon even said it was the best performance of the night & Paula flailed about raving on how he should already have his own record deal - & he should - & ... I don't know, he's just incredible. seriously. so, now I'm obsessed, it's sick. whatever. he can sing like nobody's business. ♥
♥ I must now go find anything & everything else he's ever done that is available on-line.
