I know you need music more than you need love
Walked to work again today, with Death Cab For Cutie's "The Photo Album" as my soundtrack. Magical stuff, if perhaps a little on the downbeat side for 8am. The only disadvantage of taking my Discman on the road with me is that I tend to end up getting songs stuck in my head, which can't be too pleasant for those around me - still, I was worried I was going to be whistling "Springtime For Hitler" all day after watching "The Producers" last night, so I suppose west-coast college rock is an improvement on that.
Pretty good weekend, all told, but it slipped by in a predictably beery haze and I don't feel any more relaxed now than I did on Friday night. I think I need to detox and switch off my brain for a while, but that can be difficult to achieve when you're staying with friends.
