“She left me,” Jensen mumbled, eyes lowered and focused on the water as he threw in his line.
Christian sighed. “Yeah, well I figured as much, what with you two being attached at the hip since you started up. Besides, you haven’t said two damn words since you got here, Jen.”
“Just said three,” he joked halfheartedly.
“What happened? She finally get tired of hearing you flirt with Jared?”
“I do not flirt with Jared!”
Christian snorted. “Whatever, Smeckles. Seriously, what happened?”
Now it was Jensen’s turn to sigh. “I dunno, man. We just got busy. Mean, Eliza was always filming, and so was I…”
“So, to solve this problem of being apart you drove here to see me?”
“I-”
“Don’t make no damn sense, Jen. Just shut up and look at the waves until you figure some shit out.”
“What?”
“Just do it, Ackles!”
Jensen just thought it was typical Christian Kane insanity, but as he watched the rippling action of the water, everything did seemed simpler, easier.
He smiled, picked up a pencil, and started to write. “Chris, can I borrow your guitar when we get back to the house?”
He grinned. “You better write her something nice.”
