Cordy jumped, her knee barely missing Xander’s belt buckle.
“Hey, watch it!”
“Did you hear…what was that!?”
“Well, there was that sound and the lights just went out. Call me crazy, but I’d say the light bulb in the janitor’s closet just burned out, smarty-pants,” Xander said dryly.
“I knew that.”
Cordy started to roll her eyes, but as she realized the gesture would probably be less than effective if Xander couldn’t see her, she reached for the doorknob. “Whatever, I’m out of here.”
“Fine.”
She jiggled the knob. “It’s locked!”
“Whatever will we do?” Xander said with a smirk.
