The first time they kissed there were no fireworks, no harps or choirs singing, none of that stuff they tell you about in your typical Meg Ryan movie.
In fact, the only sound Jake could remember hearing was the sound of his heart pounding so hard against his chest that he swore Theo would hear it too and start asking questions.
He pulled away, hoping for some sort of sign. He didn’t get one, nothing but Theo staring back at him, his eyes more black then blue from some seriously widened pupils.
"Sorry, man," Jake mumbled. "It was the hair."
