Someone requested that I vid Kara to a Shiny Toy Guns song I'd never heard before and I adore the song and think it's perfect so I took on the challenge and began compiling clips last night and I'm embarrassed to admit that Kara Thrace's story arc when seen as a whole still makes my eyes hot and I feel suspiciously as if I might still be this close to crying over a fictional character. There are so many tormented heroes in all forms of media but I wonder just how high Kara Thrace's tragic story rates on a television scale. I'm trying to think of how many TV characters I know who were put through everything she was put through and ultimately were never allowed to enjoy the rewards of their toil and trouble. How could anyone abuse their own character like that and give nothing in return? Ronald D Moore is the worst. The very worst.
