I'm so proud of you! It's a big scary step and I'm soooo jealous! being out there on your own is something that I think everyone should do, at least for the sake of experience. It forces you to know who you are. You'll be fine. More than fine. You're going to be AWESOME.
And two words for you: YARD SALE. You can find really great stuff really cheap for what you need. If not, you can always hit up for your friends for stuff they don't want anymore. ;)
Thank you honey! It's kind of miserable right now but all my friends seem to think it's awesome and it's non-stop congrats which is funny because I'm secretly miserable. I mean, where are all the people!? How does anyone stand themselves for very long? I'm already completely bored with myself.
I have already had some offers from some friends who have moved back in with their families and have furniture and stuff in storage, so hopefully I will have some stuff soon :D
It's ok that you're secretly miserable. Especially after leaving a busy house. Suddenly being alone w/ you is....not as fun as you thought it was. I think it helps to have cable. Awwww.....I'm sorry it's not as fun as you thought it would be! Still, now you know, right? You could always get a roommate and split the expenses, etc. Wouldn't it be fun if your sister moved in w/ you? (maybe not)
Start a new hobby/project! that might make the time go faster. Sing loudly! Sit around in your underwear (or naked, if you're cool w/ that)! Sing loudly! Leave the tv on all night! You could get a cat or something....are you a dog person? I only recommend cats because they tend to be a wee bit more independent than dogs. But dogs are more fun.
New stuff! New stuff!! then you can go to Ikea and drool. Also, never underestimate the power of wallpaper to change a room. Or even furniture! They make some pretty awesome stuff now.
Those are awesome ideas, thank you! Especially the singing loudly. I never cut loose, ever. Maybe I should start with something small like that!
I'm definitely a dog person. No cats for me.
I love Ikea <3 I cannot afford a thing right now, though. My laptop crashed on yesterday. Completely dead. They could not recover any of my data. All my music, my papers, my pictures, my art, my videos, my writing- gone. I literally cannot live without a laptop though so I already bought a new one. I'm not sorry I did it, but my debt has reached whole new levels :/
I completely sympathize with crashed laptops. Epic failure. Debt is my paralyzing fear. You will make it! hmmmmm...you know you should go online or to the library and find books on making new stuff from old stuff Fun! Shelters have puppies that need homes!
